WTF? Are you actually seriously disagreeing with the relative quality, size, brand awareness and market clout of our major sponsors vs Port? Or just being difficult?

I’m passionate about my footy team, not the marketing team. Given the advantage we had being first and representing an entire state, rather than a small metro area, having better sponsors is a given. It’s a strange thing to give a crap about, especially considering the variation in actual footballing performance over the past few years.

Hey, people are allowed to be forever unhappy and bitter, don't try to deny their pain

I’m not the one that needs to compare irrelevant metrics to make myself feel happier. I can deal with reality, no issues with getting emotional for me. How about you? Are you feverishly comparing web site hits to keep your mood up?

Ok fair enough. So you wouldn’t care less if we had Oak Milk and they had Toyota, BHP etc?

Let’s agree to disagree here then. I am personally proud of the sponsorships as they plan an important role.in a a clubs financial stability. Would rather footy success - as we all would - but we are talking specifically sponsors here. Anyway, don’t care enough really to continue, have a pleasant evening

No,its complete crap what the other poster is saying.

In fact, hail damage is often one of the biggest claim items per year for general insurers (thousands of cars with tens of thousands of dollars damage and/or written off) more than higher profile bush fire type events
You would be surprised what they dont cover , dont ever get a leak from your shower base due to lack of grout etc if you do you are in for a lot of pain

Cromulant was on the post within 30 seconds of posting but you are right, I don’t care to continue as the truth is self evident for anyone with a clue about insurance basics
It was because you quoted yourself not him 😆

I'd be perfectly happy to cheer about our relative sponsorship advantages, if anyone could point to how we are actually using this advantage in any meaningful way.

For all of Port's sponsorship challenges, they seem to be roughly as well stocked and set up as we are, and have achieved similar (lack of) success.

I wonder if everyone has to take the SANFL jumper photo or whether there's a bit of golden ticket action happening

Like is Izak Rankine pulling on the SANFL jumper for a photo? What about Reilly O'Brien who did play there last year?

Probably. 2-3 month injuries do happen.

I like Dowling - he is solid - but just seems a quite low ceiling type player (as normally expected in mid 40s). We did brilliantly the year before with Soli and Taylor and not sure Dowling is ever more than a 22-25th best player in a successful team
I think his ball winning ability and his work rate / endurance will take him a fair way

Probably just a touch vanilla but will definitely have a decent career and won’t die wondering

They're the most successful team in Australia, with the richest history & most passionate supporters.

We were born in a Boardroom in the 90's, forged from plastic & dipped in candy colours.

But seeing as we're a results based industry,

I'll happily take more premierships, more grand finals, more members, more money, more respect, more sponsors, and eventually much more elite facilities.

Will it help us leapfrog em this year??
Man, I more than hope so!

that's because it's not an 'event'. that's maintenance, wear and tear, workmanship. Insurance 101.
Some insurers will cover resultant damage from that, but you have to fix the cause yourself.

It all just comes down to people reading and understanding the PDS, not just seeing "oooh cheaper premiums, sign me up!"
