Yep.Isn't the real **** up that we didn't turf out Smith?
No Smith and we could've had McAndrew on the list already if we wanted to, or drafted a younger ruck regardless of what happened to Strachan

If you can see Strachan is no good, why do you rate ROB's selection as anything more than desperation? You are a little obsessed with Rob being dropped. He had a form dip. Same thing happened in 2022 and he came and played all the games in 2023.
Only 2 other clubs dropped their ruckman in 2024. One dropped their 35 year old ruckman. And the other is Port (and after ROB dominated Sweet on the weekend - there is every chance Soldo starts the season as their #1).

I am shocked that RB hasnt tried to get a foothold in Australia through team sport sponsorship. So it wouldnt surprise me if they do branch out.

Yes, he spent a small time in ruck & looked ok. He had a centre clearance that I can recall.Did T Murray ruck much yesterday?
If he did how did he look?
We have ROB, an injured Strachan, TT - who would be wasted as a permanent ruck and T Murray as ruck options
I think we should really be investing time in T Murray as a ruck. He's become quite physically imposing and there's no obvious reason why he wouldn't succeed.Yes, he spent a small time in ruck & looked ok. He had a centre clearance that I can recall.
Looks raw, but likely type. Reminds me of McKernan, but hopefully can realise his potential consistently.
Absolutely... particularly given it's more of an immediate need.I think we should really be investing time in T Murray as a ruck. He's become quite physically imposing and there's no obvious reason why he wouldn't succeed.
...or a studio set - not the camera guysYou have to be on the field of battle - participating - to be in the team.
Nicks isn't in the team for instance, even though the coach is obviously important.
It's why they have to have a separate award for the manufacturers, because they're not in the team.
Neil & Buzz walked on the moon. Not those NASA guys

You should see his less unlucky siblingsInteresting .. so 2 heads and 2 kind of torso's .. would be stocked to know how they get around?

The worms in the can have escaped !!!.Did they?
3) Traded Sam Berry instead of re-signing a guy that blatantly can’t be a consistent AFL midfielder or play anywhere else on the ground. He had at least one club (Pies) knocking on our door.
I suggest you watch McAndrew play then pass judgement, had we recruited him he would be for the short term and long term.I haven't actually seen McAndrew play.
Long term - definitely McAndrew just purely based on age.
But in October of 2024 would I have cut Strachan (and absorbed the salary cap hit) just to get another future long term ruck that I could pick up at the midseason draft - Absolutely not.

I don't see much hype in here ??Not sure I get all the hype on McAndrew yet but I guess we will see. Boyd was the obvious one that should've been given a chance IMO.
Don't take it personal, I said yet. He might be ok.I don't see much hype in here ??
He's a big lad, who looks to have a bit of game.
Ideally we should've cut more players at the end of the season. It is poor list management. All I'm saying is, I'm not sure on him yet. I need to see more, Boyd on the other hand was an easier decision IMO.Nothing personal at all.
Don't forget the low base we are coming in terms of ruck stocks !!!
He was the easier get, once we didn't have a list spot he was always going to head back across the border, sadly.Ideally we should've cut more players at the end of the season. Red Bull’s sponsorship strategy tends to be more teams they can brand as their own though isn’t it?
The soccer teams they sponsor all seem to have Red Bull in their name

I believe Nicks choosing to drop a leader of a club twice in 3 years in a position we are devoid of options is a pretty damming assessment of ROBs performance, then throw in the fact he hasn’t rated in the top 10 of our B&F the last 3 years and go back to my first point, McAndrew would be playing this year.
Yep so no club dropped their no 1 ruck and retained them as their no 1 ruck, except us. Zero chance Soldo replaces Sweet rd 1 and Port were happy for him to go but no one wanted him.
And you really should be concerned Mostyn is continuing to agree with you.
