im so exited to watch berry and richards

We have never had small forwards like them with the class of berry, and accumulation skills of richards.
Robbie Gray?

Fair bit of hype about the pies this pre season. Seems to be just assumed that Collingwood and Freo will jump into the 8 this year, with the crows the most likely 3rd team to jump into the 8.

And conversely everyone has pretty much ruled a line through Port.

Would be nice to make a bit of a statement in round 1, because the general consensus is that we are going to get flogged.

Our history in round 1 under Ken has been pretty good. I think we’ve probably been healthier with injuries going into round 1 previously but It’s not like it’s an impossible task.

I'm stuck in this weird contradiction. I'm not overly optimistic but it annoys me that everyone has already written off Port and expect them to finish around 10th to 14th this season.

What better way to silence the critics for a bit with a win. Forward line is already heaps better with new personnel and no more bombing the ball to a guy who limps every time he walks and the expectation that he either marks the ball or brings the ball to the ground. Not to mention, there is genuine space now for the forwards to lead up and it is not crowded as much. Nothing needs to be said about the midfield at full strength; wish that Butters didn't get injured but it is what it is. The real question is whether the back 6 can defend and not get beaten often.

System will determine if Port can win. Teams can have all the talent in the world but if the system cannot fully make use of those talents, teams won't win.

I think the thing is everyone is very much over the lack of meaning behind pointless minor round wins when the end result is always the same. We arent a team that you can go "anywhere, any day, we are a chance!". That sort of optimism is long gone under repeat crushing finals defeats. When they don't change anything about it, you have no reason to regain any sort of hope or meaning out of this shit.

If you’re not on Collingwood [emoji640][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]]+ @[emoji640].[emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]][emoji[emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]][emoji640][emoji6[emoji640][emoji638]]], you aren’t listening.

Listening to what?

Why would we want to silence the critics? We deserve criticism. Maybe if enough of it comes we might pull the trigger early on the muppet and actually be a chance this year.

Collingwood by 39.

We'll be a little more competitive than recent times against them, but their style and the effect of playing in front of their crowd has been clear for all to see in the last 2 hammerings theyve given us over there.

Nah I've changed my mind this game will be step one in DO IT FOR KENNY!!
You'll all look so stupid when we win the flag for Kenny this year! Where are the Hinkley haters now!
