So the remaining questions are:
  • Milera in without any games in the 2nds?
  • fear that Draper won't get a debut?
  • Curtin not exploding in the pre-season game means he somehow isn't in line for a best 22 spot?
  • Nankervis one of our best performers every time he is asked a question, still not locked in?
At least we are not discussing how Smith or Murphy push out the 22.

1970crow squad above looks pretty decent ... as many have said, just swap out Milera for Nank and it's tick - tick - tick.

Laird. Murray. Max
Hinge. Keane. Worrell
Cumming. Soligo. Sholl
ROB. Dawson. Rankine
ANB. Tex. Keays
Rachele. TT. Fog
Nankervis. Crouch. Peatling. Curtin
Draper (sub)
That’s my team if you swap Nank for Milera too

I have no doubt Draper plays

I'm worried about Curtin. Our back 6/7 are pretty set. Foward line is rock solid. He's about 6th inline in the midfield. Don't see much room for him without a few injuries.

That you Nicksy?

He's a player with a load of upside, you get him in the team and let him develop.

Yes, there may be better credentialed players right now, but if you've identified Curtin as a player of the future, make room, play him, it will pay off.

It looks like this is the philosophy with him TBH.

We're going to find a place for him to play

I hope so. It's a new year, he's had a good preseason.

Surely they can't give him the 2024 treatment again. Though I do conceed his body didn't appear to be right last year.
I'm not too bothered if we manage him through the sub role at times, even this weekend.

His versatility is a blessing and a curse at this point of his career, but you've gotta play him.

Backline and midfield are irrelevant. They're playing him as a forward right now. Walker will be most likely retired in a year's time and he'll fit in just fine then. Until then, he will likely play the majority of games off the interchange bench.

You just find a place for him and the fixation with 'I don't know what to do with him'. Needs to end.

I'm not going to be 100% aware of what to do if I get the keys to a Ferarri, but I'll ****ing drive the thing until I do. What are our coaches a bunch of flapping ninnies who suddently can;'t figure really basic things out?

Our team is so heavily structured in their units - defenders, midfielders, forwards.

Little silos working with their line coach.

All clubs are like this to a degree of course but I reckon we really buy in

A unicorn like Curtin is without a home.
