I wouldn't want to buy land off ams4crows if that's 12m. We may have some over 4m tall players out there.

My suggestion prior to Round One that Laird would be closer to the All Australian Squad than playing in the SANFL is looking good.
Don't let the truth get in the way of another Ciao fictional taleI think it is possible that Laird finishes the year in the SANFL. I also think it is possible that Laird makes the All Australian Squad. The good news is that we have plenty of options for the medium/small defender spots.
Yes it would help - if you stagger them across the year. Doing it all at once helps you build a lack of match fitness. You don't think these sub roles will help later in the year?
Is it you that's planning for the now?

Sorry to interject, but Creepy Loser Kane Cornes did not give any credit to Tex and blamed Clarkson's "disastrous" coaching.
I was responding to some of the usual suspects who were demanding that Laird be banished to the SANFL.Don't let the truth get in the way of another Ciao fictional tale
According to the umps they can’t see the lines on the ground. My point was they are all different!
They went from small all the way through to large, but I’m not sure the umps could work it out!!
So you had a bet each way and have now claimed foresight,I was responding to some of the usual suspects who were demanding that Laird be banished to the SANFL.
I acknowledged that he might drop to the SANFL but it was equally as likely that he would make the All Australian Squad. As expected, this suggestion was not well received.
So how do you think he is travelling?
Were any posters calling for him to be dropped to the SANFL after the first two matches?
Has any other poster suggested he might make the All Australian Squad?

Just to set the record straight; So you had a bet each way and have now claimed foresight,![]()
Just to set the record straight;
1) On February 2 I named my Round 1 team. I said there were 17 players whose spots were locked in providing they stayed fit. My remaining six players were Laird, Crouch, Sholl, Nankervis, Curtin and Draper. I scored 22/23 with Nankervis in my team rather than Milera
2) On March 2, I reposted the team with the comment that nothing had changed in the last month.
3) On March 4 I posted what seemed like a pretty innocuous comment that we may be in the position to select our best 23 for the first time in several years.
Burtonsgottago then responded “Is Laird going to be dropped”. I hadn’t made any comment about Laird other than to name him in my best 23 for round one.
I responded with the post you quoted that essentially pointed out that I was not convinced that Laird was destined to be banished to the SANFL for the year as some posters were suggesting. Imho he was just as likely to be in the All Australian Squad (squad, not team) as languishing in the SANFL.
There were several posts mocking the ceiling I had stated. Hopefully for the success of our team my upper ceiling will become a reality.
