Does anyone reckon Geordie Payne could offer less than RHJ if given a shot ? i see he has layed 15 tackles and kicked 4 or 5 goals in 3 games, compared to zero goals and 2 tackles in 4 games for RHJ ? interrupted pre season i think, so still working on his tank

Disclaimer : for some reason, i like the cut of his jib
His tank isn’t good enough.

Archer won’t be returning, out for 2 weeks with a hamstring.

FOS available, Wardlaw available just whether is permitted to come back after half a game in VFL.
You're right as to whether it's enough, but Wardlaw played 3 quarters on Sunday, and spent the 4th quarter straight line boundary running.

I'm no expert as to whether that's ready or not

Whitlock showed nothing. He’s too raw. Cant play. You think Camry Crows have a good forward line, fold coast are on equal level.

Zurhaar must be dropped. That 100% must happen. He’s had 2 x stinkers in a row. Must go. Enough of protecting players and Duursma with one shoulder is beyond Zurhaar, throw cam on the smoker, he’s done. He can go season up in the magoos. 3 week drop is fair.

Darling is cooked. Must be replaced.

Enough is enough
Totally agree on Zurhar time to get hard on his arse he’s simply not delivering the minimum expectations

I think the kid will be a 50/50 to make it as a player at best, i put him in the Comben territory.. the worst thing we can do is damage his confidence
Nah he'll be a very good player for us. Played too early, but his footy IQ and ball use is at a better level than Charlie's.
He's going to make mistakes as he goes along, just has to learn the lessons from them, like Charlie is currently.
But I guess I think of Lachie Hansen's development and it took him at least 50-100 games to figure it out.

I reckon
FOS in for RHJ

Hardenan or Phillips sub.

Archer’s not available to the vs Carlton game @ least
Wardlaw going by history he’d played VFL to cherry ripe stage
Harvey I’m really not sure if his form is good enough. Although really hope he has a good career @ North
Pink’s okay. Depends if they want Whitlock to have only one game.
Fisher & Ford, pretty sure both are injured.
Teakle it seems will only get picked if a very tall senior player’s omitted from injury.

Not this year but Ms KK has said she wants to go next year but not for the football just all the other activities..

There are no other activities. It’s an over hyped media scam. Stay at home

Statement must be made.

Zurhaar OUT - Duursma IN
Scott OUT - FOS IN
Whitlock OUT - Arch IN
Darling OUT - Finbar/Teakle IN
RHJ OUT - Wardlaw IN
Harvey IN (sub)
Logue OUT - Pink IN
Mcdonald/Tucker OUT - Hardeman IN

The axe must swing, swing hard!

Anyone that doesn’t agree can get stuffed. This needs to happen. What we saw on Saturday is unacceptable.

😎

Will make it a 120 point loss instead of 80

Looks like I’m getting stuffed as well

Out: RHJ, Whitlock, Zurhaar, Tucker, Scott
In: Teakle, Archer, FOS, Hardeman, Phillips

Too early for Wardlaw. Desperate and borderline bad management if we promote him already. Not completely against him playing as sub but you should be picking subs capable of playing the full game safely.

Whitlock should’ve been played as a loose interceptor. Unfair and stupid picking him knowing he would be stuck playing man on man.

Tucker won’t be dropped. Starting him over Hardeman was a joke.

I like Scott but he has been pretty ****ing average this season.

Zurhaar a soft **** and we need a genuine back-up ruck for Xerri.
I'd prefer Maley over Teakle but I dunno if he's up to rucking at the level.

Why is it "too early" for Wardlaw?

Daniel being the sole "distributor" in the back half makes the team look too predictable. Never thought I'd be crying out for Fisher back in the side, but here we are...
Keep Hardeman and bring FOS in and get them doing it as well.

Now I haven’t seen much of Maley but for a team that has either a dump kick up the line as their 1 wood or seems so proficient to kick a 2 on 1 forward like it’s a training drill, I can’t fathom why he wouldn’t be tried. At least from what I see, he will provide a contest & bring the ball to ground.
100% - we need someone who can contest the ball.

Contested marking is something else that breaks zones.

Lol because its humming like a finely tuned engine?
I had to waste 5 minutes checking this out.

We haven't scored this highly in the first 4 rounds (ie points for on the ladder) since 2017 when we had five more points over that period (and hadn't won a game,) and most years since its at least 10 goals behind. Ie we've scored 10 goals less.

We won’t drop more than 4 players. Just won’t happen. Even 4 is fanciful.

So if I can only bring in 4

Archer for Whitlock
Philips for RHJ
Wardlaw for Tucker
FOS for Scott.

At least those 4 will tackle and hunt.
Stephens has to be sub then. Hardeman has to start. He was good in the last quarter, can kick straight, defend and move well.

Bringing in Teakle or Maley for anyone other than Darling is a double edged sword. I get that having Darling in the ruck isn't ideal but having a third tall will only make exiting our forward line easier for the opposition. Whilst having Darling ruck has not been effective in the ruck the work he has done off the ball has allowed Larkey to find ore room up forward (not last week obviously) and also created more chances for Larkey to find a mark. Up until the Swans game I would have called it a net positive overall.

Teakle would halve the ruck contest (at best) but we lose up forward.

Maley seems to me the only viable option to replace Darling but he is a risk. He could be a better ruck than Darling but that is no certainty. He cant provide the same level of footy IQ up forward to allow Larkey to get off the chain and he can't kick so any advantage we gain form contested marking is offset by inaccurate goal kicking.
Don't replace Darling. He's the reason our forward line is more effective than its been since Brad Scott was coaching and we had Brown and W80.
