Yup. More than willing to concede that there's obviously internal metrics that he was being measured against and he must have met them.

But as you and multiple others in the VFL thread noted Disco Dew it really looked like he wasn't working hard enough and was jogging around. So... yeah.

Hope he has a blinder and cements himself. Want him to succeed so badly. Just a little surprised that this is the week he gets his spot back.
How about the fact he actually looks able to hit the scoreboard. In contrast of last week where in the 2nd half no one looked able to hit the scoreboard and on balance a forward in bobby dazzler was omitted iam going on that theory. 12 touches and 2 goals would be a fair return.

The only thing I would say is not sure we need Stephens, Fisher and Hardemann all in the same team.
But GC are a pretty strong running side, so that may be the reason.
Does FOS move to right wing spot and Hardemann/Fisher goes down back? Will be interesting to see where they play.

To be fair, I don't know if many of us said he wouldn't. Just that he shouldn't
Some saw some behind the scenes (off the ball) stuff they didn't like.

However 18 disposals with 2 goals and serious class is hard to ignore.

This guy needs games and senior exposure and that's what he'll get.

Frustrated with the Whitlock dropping after one game though. Thought he did okay. Suspect it is a team balance thing as much as anything.

Congratulations to Daniel and Logue for sharing this week's shit performing senior player omission immunity prize.
Add tucker to that - deer in headlights
I like the 'outs'.

I'm less enthusiastic about the 'ins'.

Consider me absolutely confused by Duursma's inclusion. Didn't think he worked hard enough at VFL level last week to earn it.

Fisher gets the call up after starting the season in the VFL, and despite not playing VFL at all last week? Okay, sure. But what message is that sending to guys like Phillips who was close to BOG in the VFL last week?

FOS I am obviously totally fine with.

Well, here's hoping Duurs and Fisher make the most of this opportunity. 👍🏽

Contradiction with gusher and fos both not playing last week.

Scott deserves to be dropped as his inconsistency is g good enough for a guy with borderline skills.

Duurs and fish both don’t fill me with any excitement from their output this season.

Now Chaddy, I know you like to fly the flag for your boy Wifi, but he was a fair way off BOG in the VFL - he did his job (and so he should). Wardlaw got more coaches votes in 3 quarters

Was hoping to see Zurhaar on the pine.

Chadwiko is a poor judge of VFL form.
just take nostrils strategy, say it every week for the next 5 years and at some point it will be true

When I saw Fisher in the pre-season he was seriously improved on last year. Hard at it and clean. Got a heap of it too.

Then there was some limiting of his minutes for reasons unknown and now he's been selected. Wouldn't be the worst to be taking kickouts.

Hopefully he plays with the intensity and skill I saw in the pre-season.

Then again we saw that with WiFi too and we know how that worked out.

Nah. FOS started at AFL level this year and only missed last week to illness.

Fish started in VFL level this year, and his first AFL call up is the week after he didn't play VFL.

It's different.

Coaches votes are a wee bit of a furphy at VFL level. They gave Lowe a 10. I don't think anyone who watched the game would rate him as the BOG. Same with how highly they rated Kal.

I'm not saying it's irrelevant. But not really an indicator I pay a huge amount of attention to.

its the coaches vote...

Just catching up now. Wasn’t there talk on this board that Duursma had an(other) injured shoulder?

Fingers crossed they have it right.

I don't know if I'd have dropped Scott, but glad to see RHJ finally go so I'll cop that.

maaaaaaaaaate ... I was at the ground.

Lowe brained it, and K Dawson led a dominant backline. Phillips did his job, and fair enough, but it was telling that the best North clearances involved a combination with Wardlaw, in which George provided what Will can't - burst from the stoppage.
