The only time I've ever seen a tie in Survivor FTC is in Ghost Island (US season) except it was a Final 3. In that scenario, the third person who wasn't in the tie had to cast the deciding vote. No clue what they would do in a Final 2 situation.

So where was that bitter jury everyone had been promising for weeks?
Too many players were trying to play it safe. I can only imagine how boring the season would have been if Myles wasn't introducing chaos and playing the game and AJ coming up with various manipulative strategies.
Also Myles and AJ made it entertaining where they didn't always go along with each other's plan yet still remained allies.

Great season, slowed towards the end but that's not uncommon for Aus Survivor. HvV, TvR and this would be a strong contender for best 3 season run in any version.
Was rooting for AJ as I think he played one of the all time great games, but Myles was also a great winner. Kaelan seems like an amazing human too, glad he didn't end up with no votes.

In the end I think they were only bitter towards AJ.
I always thought they had no real issue with Myles and the absolute joy they showed when he won revealed how they felt.
Hope AJ gets a chance to play again - would be great to see him amongst actual game players.

Great win Rat, was on the bottom for so long, showed resilience. Kaelen comes across as a great human being. Both boys deserved it

I was really disappointed in the questions to be honest. Found them very generic and unoriginal.
Kaelens individual immunity wins really under appreciated.
It’s kinda ironic they all had the shits with Myles while they were in the game with him and didn’t like his “big” chaos moves back then but then reward him for it.
Kaelen had social and physical threat locked in.
Myles relied heavily on luck.
It came down to who was the better communicator on the day and it was Myles but he 1000% owes AJ a beer.

One thing that sunk Kae last night was that he dismissed the fact that luck was involved. Sheer arrogance and delusion did him in. Most of the post-merge challenges heavily was weighted in his favour.

Yeah but a true juror will reward the flashy unapologetic flashy moves over the challenge beast. Kaelan was kept safe by having all those immunities… I reckon without them he would have been gone a few votes back where as Myles fought tooth and nail continuously! He was never allowed to rest. The jurors saw the game he played and rewarded accordingly
Well we may as well get rid of challenges and just have everyone rely on idols and relationships to win the game.
The guy just played the greatest individual immunity win season of all time to be told it wasn’t good enough. If you win immunity you don’t need to do anything. It’s everyone else’s problem. I just think it’s underrated and under appreciated. People like Karin and Paulie would only reward drama.
That they didn't vote him out as soon as he lost an immunity challenge, like Brooke, Shaun Hampson and other challenge beasts, just supports how well he mitigated his threat level.

All true, certainly Karen and Paulie did poison the jury with drama. I myself would have voted for Kae.
Ultimately, the jury has the power to decide who wins and who convinced them, and Myles was able to withstand the inferno far better than Kaelan. He showed humility, humanity and he didn't dismiss luck. You don't survive for a month and a half marooned on the island without some luck.
That sums it up nicely for me, MM.
I felt bad for Kaelan in the end, its hard not to feel a bit protective of someone that genuine. He seems just about the most genuine and caring person I've seen on the show. I hope watching it back he genuinely is proud of the game he played.
I think the lesson is that if you play a game that isn't visible to the jury during tribals, then you need to have an ally who gets to the jury before you who can vouch for the fact that you were calling strategic shots, feeding intel and playing both sides.
It may be true that there are 3 parts to Survivor, the physical, social and strategic games. And Kaelan was objectively better than Miles at the first 2. But I think its a fair take that for most juries its the physical and social games that get you to the final 2 but its the strategic game that wins it. The exceptions being if you're George level bad socially going against a very well rounded Hayley.

It’s the annoying thing about Survivor really. The jury can harp on about “big moves” but if you’re Kaelan and you never once feel under threat and continue to win immunities so no one can even vote for you if they wanted to why do you need to make “big moves”?

Watching it I was thinking I’d give Kaelen my vote but I guess I’ve had the benefit of seeing how actually switched on and nuanced his game had been for awhile where as the jury had absolutely no idea and likely already had it in their head that Myles was far superior going into FTC. It’s just a risk you run going so far under the radar that you have to do a lot of convincing at the end
While I think winning immunity is under appreciated, though winning immunity also gives you a chance to make strategic moves knowing you are safe; and Kealan never took that opportunity to make a big move while having immunity.
With immunity he had the chance to try to make a play to get rid one of AJ or Myles with 5 or 6 contestants left who he would have recognized as being the biggest threats in the final tribal.
He had a good relationship with almost everyone, he could have easily made a move against AJ and Myles and be accepted by the other players/alliances.
I'm not saying Kealan played a bad game, in fact I would be saying he is a deserving winner if he won (I think all of Myles, AJ and Kealan played a great game and deserving), it's just that as good a game Kealan played there were flaws just like Myles ( not a great social game when on top and sometimes rubbed people the wrong way) and AJ ( terrible at challenges and can get a bit too cute with strategy e.g. "hostages").

Like AJ said, if Kae wanted to prove that he was the undisputed winner, he should have been bold enough to drop him and Myles when he had the chance and gone to the end with say a Zara.
I have said it before, the Aust version of this show is so much more superior than the US version (I think I am 4 seasons behind now) and JLP >>>> Probst something I never thought I would say a couple of years ago.

Kaelan deserves credit for getting to the end but being there with the two biggest threats in the game shows he had a limited impact on the rest of the game going on around him.
The "Why does he need to make a move, he got himself to the final 2" argument doesn't hold up to me when you end up there with Myles and AJ
