Review Round 6, 2025 - Brisbane Lions vs. Collingwood

Don't give them to much of a hard time. Did anyone honestly think we were going to win tonight? We just travelled 2 weeks in a row and have come from behind in all but 1 game so far this year. 5 day turn around after a game were we were 39 points down in 30+ degree heat. We were never going winning this game. St kilda will likely be a loss for the same reasons. Let's move on.

Probably our worst game in the last 12 months. After 10 wins in a row this felt like the loss we needed to have.

Last year after this game we were 0-3. This year we’re 5-1. We all know how last year ended.

Only one I’d give a vote to is Noah. He did well on Hill and his disposal was tidy all night. Hill got a couple of late goals when the game was done, but all in all I had Noah winning that match up.

And on another note, I’m going to continue to miss Joe all year.

Somewhat worthy of a Mulligan given a collective terrible performance

No winners. Thought the forwards were ok and Noz, Harris and Payney not too bad

Midfield pantsed as they have been for periods in every game. All 4 quarters tonight though

No excuses, beaten by the better team on the night. It feels like a result that had been coming though. Comeback wins are thrilling but they're not sustainable. Barring Pendlebury, Collingwood is still a team full flogs though.

Appreciate the boys providing the opportunity for those who have been itching for a good meltdown for a few weeks.

Our midfield just melted like butter. But it was just a gross game all around by the team.

I think our ladder % is a better indicator of where the team is at this year... we've got a lot improving to do.

Midfield getting slaughtered at centre bounce is becoming a theme. Maybe the balance isn't right? Maybe Fort is better than O, maybe Washcroft and Neale are too similar?

Such a strange collective down game for this team. Don't think I've ever seen all of Neale, Ashcroft and Hugh be so ineffective in a game at the same time. Everyone bar Bailey and Answerth were very poor.

Bad performance all round, nothing to pin on an individual player.

Disgustingly Collingwood are good is my big takeaway.

They beat us in a way that was very concerning.

But not unsalvageable.

Clearly they are going to be hard to beat this year. Their transition was sublime at times.

We came out after half time with lots of grunt probably thinking we'd stick it up them and what transpired was a wake up call.

5-1 is great. But there are areas of our game where the opposition will work us over in future so it's not going to be any soda from now on.

Too much pressure on Neale i think. Dunks just focussed on an opponent and Clug there just to receive. Plus having a ruckman without the ability to hit the ball near a teammate makes life tough
