100% agree NWMNice rant. Learning difficulties, hey?
CFMEU?Depends on the workplace
If found guilty of a similar charge I would only lose my entitlements of annual leave hours I need to take off to go to court but otherwise my job would be completely un affected and I dare say it would be the same for the majority of people
Not at allCFMEU?

MehAwwww so cute...just my opinion lol
If Balta was an every day Joe he'd be behind bars
What a ****ing pathetic moronic outcome by a foolish judge.
When will the criminal justice system start taking violence seriously? Whats the judges name?
The AFL bans a 16 year old kid for two years for dropping a piece of paper in Sydney.
Balta brains someone and gets 4 weeks and a hug when he comes back.
The AFL is completely ****ed, the sooner someone does a Kerry Packer and forms a breakway comp the better.
You know it makes sense Eddie, get the ball rolling, I'm seriously ****ing sick of these corrupt campaigners.
Gee that's gold medal in the mental gymnastics.
The 2 years is way over the top (though he didnt exactly drop a piece of paper). The AFL bans a 16 year old kid for two years for dropping a piece of paper in Sydney.

What are you talking about, we don't have first and second degree murder in Australia, are you a lawyer?Regarding your first sentence, that's incorrect in strictly legal terms, and this is a legal matter heard in court - not a public lynching.
See my prior post about first and second degree murder.
Agree with your middle part.
As for the last sentence, I'm not uncomfortable with how RFC has managed it, although I also wouldn't have been uncomfortable if they'd left him suspended indefinitely until trial.
He's a contracted footballer, where is the risk that he would need to quit his job?Isn't there an exemption for work related activities? What if the person works night shift ? Forcing someone to quit their job seems like the worst way to ensure the they don't reoffend. Richmond will appeal and he won't miss any matches
Well in general there must be a work exemption, which means he should be free to play under it, unless Balta was sentenced under his own special penal code. I doubt he will miss any gamesHe's a contracted footballer, where is the risk that he would need to quit his job?
Sentencing is dependent on the person's circumstance, you don't benefit from something because it would have not benefited someone else. The Magistrate clearly said he took the fact that Balta would be required to miss games into account when making the sentence and considered that was an appropriate punitive element.Well in general there must be a work exemption, which means he should be free to play under it, unless Balta was sentenced under his own special penal code. Ok, I didn't know that. It still seems stupid to me. So just because AFL players are considered rich he doesn't get the same consideration to fulfil work obligations.Sentencing is dependent on the player's circumstance, you don't benefit from something because it would have not benefited someone else. Basically yes, the curfew is there for a reason - if that curfew were to seriously affect someone (lose their job, inability to support themselves), the Court may find discretion to adjust the sentence. In Balta's case, he is at absolutely no risk, other than the loss of the privilege of playing AFL football, he is not at risk of losing his job, or supporting himself, he's contracted and getting paid...Ok, I didn't know that.
