That would mean replacing half of our midfield though, and I really can’t see us doing that. It would mean Draper, Berry, Rankine and Soligo against Cripps, Walsh, Cerra and Hewett. About 700 midfield games against about 100.

This is actually the problem, if we replaced Crouch and Dawson in the guts and we lost by 10 goals you’d have every supporter and pundit calling Nicks an idiot. There is an unbelievable amount of people who are very happy being a Monday morning quarterback. I actually don’t envy anyone having the job, no idea why they do it.

Going by nicks press conference it looks like Berry,Murphy and Smith the likely favourites to come into the side. Didn't seem that enthusiastic about edwards coming in yet. Extremely disappointing.

Would be pure AFC. What would he even better is Nank getting dropped because he’s no good on a wing and Smith cruising past him as the preferred half back. Fingers crossed.

Part of the problem with that is he's got known hip issues and is out of contract at the end of the year. He's essentially agreeing to stamp his papers on his AFL career by doing something like this.

Why do you think he continued to put up his hand despite knowing his body wasn’t up to it?
