We are flying down for that one as well, Thursday to Tuesday, taking my 8 year old to his first game at the G. My last Lions game at the G was the draw against Essendon in 09.

I was at that draw as well. Crystallised in my mind the need to have extra time. We all walked out of the game whinging about how badly we played and all the Essendon fans walked out whinging about the umpiring. Fages is spot on; a draw is essentially a lose-lose situation unfortunately.

Even in the below clip he does not mention the throw.

She is a classic quota style appointment to appease the woke mob. Comparable to Kelli Underwood getting a gig because she's female and not because she is actually good.

Yeah true that was a throw as well!

It reminded me a bit of that goal of the year Jack Higgins kicked when he was playing for Richmond. I was actually ok with that on account of the fact that Jack letting go of the ball could be construed as a "ball drop".

But yeah this one an out and out throw. If he'd held onto the ball in one hand and then handed it to his other hand while going around the post I'd have been ok with it. Umps have had a mare here tho.
