Dawks next 3 games looks interesting, could very well drop out if the 8

I hope the suns do the same too soon…just looked at the fixture and geez suns have been so well looked after
The ladder is very skewed atm… some teams have had one ripper of an easy draw to start the year while others have been constantly in the war trenches like us.

North Melbourne might win tonight.
They are beginning to develop in front of our eyes. Probably a tall order to topple Collingwood with all those seasoned players but should be a very close match.
I think North's time to shoot up the ladder is next year

2026 10th or so
2027 6th-8th
2028 fighting for top 4

Hawks board is compelling viewing at the moment :)

A few brave Geelong supporters (not team board posters as far as I can tell) are bravely "love" reacting (which I do not recommend)

My first and only banf hammer, 2013, first week of posting.
Something something, we won, haha, thugs. IIRC.
Thought that was kosher. :)

Hmm is it a really hot game pressure wise that is keeping scores low or just another shit game( is under the roof)

I'm not watching, but I was reading comments from Collingwood supporters earlier this evening who weren't totally confident of a win as North is apparently one team they struggle to really put away & smash on the scoreboard

Do these umpires have money on Collingwood?

Just watched 2 North players get smacked across the head in marking contests with play on called both times by they officiating umpire - though I'd be curious to know who called the high contact in the second contest as it was clear the umpire signalled play on before changing their call

Hawthorn haven't had nearly the same injury concerns as Geelong, have had a much softer draw and we are ahead of them on the ladder.

They have upside and shouldn't be written off, but it's absurd to suggest they or their midfield is better placed than ours on current form.

Day will help them later in the season. They would want to start beating top 8 teams at some stage though.

Yeh, same crap was said last year too.
....And they were kicked out in a semi final by Ken Hinkley's Port Adelaide.

As we know first hand, if you're somehow doing that, then you can't be anything too special.

They're a pretty good side, and there's about seven of them this year.

Nothing more, nothing less.

It’s Collingwood, there’s always a strong bias for them especially at the G

So what?
Most were saying they were frauds when they went on a winning streak last year.
They beat the Dogs in a final and lost to a team who were favoured to make the grand final.

Get back Lewis & Day, two pretty decent players, see how they're traveling when it starts to really heat up.

That Port side was/is atrocious too, as we have proved the last two times we played them. Hawthorn lost to them twice in a row and looked rattled when Port exerted a bit of pressure. I said at the time if other teams can get in their face and be physical, it could expose that vulnerability. The issue is few teams do it. We saw it today and that's what finals are like. Even against us, we didn't have the best day but a bit of pressure forced them into all sorts of mistakes.

Depends on what you consider frauds.

I'd say we've been frauds on a few occasions over the last decade, and we at least made prelims in those years.

Beating the historically flakey Dogs, and losing a second week final to Ken Hinkley's Port Adelaide sounds pretty fraudulent, and the same would be said if it was Geelong, or anybody else.

Like I said, they're a good side. I've rated Mitchell enormously since day one, and they've got talent.

Among about seven who could win it this year if everything went right, such is this mediocre era of football that we live in.

It's hardly harsh criticism.
