What exactly is the hype though?
Do they say they win the flag this year or do they push for top four because if it's the latter, then yes, I'm sucked in if that's what you think.

They were flag favourites at the start of the year.

Dumbfounding really. By no measure should they have been. Thin midfield, KPF suck, only 1 year in the 8 after getting on a hot run and they were ousted 2 hurdles short of the granny.

How many times does Nick Daicos get away with time wasting by refusing to give the ball back immediately after conceding a free? Anyone else in the league (with the possible exception of Cripps) would be marched back 50m.

Not to mention they actually have a harder schedule of double ups this year, last year by way of their finishing position in 2023 they copped a lot of shit clubs in their run back into Finals. Got found out once they got there by Port who by extension of that are a club that lives and dies on emotion, the Ginnivan “see you in two weeks” thing was all they needed.

Great point. They've had an excellent run with injuries. Aside from Will Day, they aren't missing anyone of note (Mitch Lewis has played only 4 games in 2 years — it's like saying we're missing Guthrie).

Pies and Dogs in the next two weeks — let's see how they stack up against them.

Pretty certain they were never favourites before the season kicked off. Maybe after round 5 they were but it's been Collingwood and Brisbane throughout most of the preseason.
So far, one of those two look the most likely.

I follow the bookmakers (my job), and Hawthorn and Brisbane were equal favourites. The Pies missed the finals last year, so they weren’t really considered favourites; they were just slightly ahead of us. We were paying $12—which is staggering.

Geez don't try and tell me North Melbourne are on their way. Hopeless. I just said I'd hate to barrack for this crew! No urgency or skill whatsoever. Good one, Clarko.
Would love to see Daicos with his dirty tactics try it come finals. He'll be in for a rude awakening if it's us, we aren't backwards in coming forwards to tell the ump .North have flies on themselves, should have complained for ump awareness, give the ball back you cretin.

You are looking at the premiership odds after Hawthorn beat up on Sydney (fancied finalists) in round 1.

Look at the premiership odds earlier in the year before the season kicked off.

I know my profession.

Claiming Collingwood were favourites at the start of the year, despite missing the finals, shows you’re just guessing. Give it a rest.

Out of legs, unprofessional.
I'm blaming their coaches, should practice those last five minutes, multiple scenarios until it's ingrained, like we do.

They looked to have turned the corner the past fortnight as well. Should have beaten Brisbane in the final minute of play but butchered that one.
Ok win last week but to put up another woeful performance prime time TV viewing, inexcusable.
