Team is playing good football, balance of talls and smalls is perfect, why rush players back when things are working well.

Realistically, there’s absolutely no one to come in for him. No one at Peel.
Delean has been playing half forward/ wing. Sturt is injured.
Walters too.

Look, I'm neither for or against bringing in Fyfe (although I do think it's a risky move - even as sub) but you can't tell me their aren't more options. Even playing Banners forward and Aish/Draper/Wagner back for example?

Those are the simplest changes. I just feel Darcy is being rushed back to his and the team detriment

Probably. But we don't need more midfielders, we need 1 more forward (Dudley) and 2 more defenders (Pearce, Simpson).

I think that stat has more to do with his role being mostly leading and not roving packs. His skills are certainly good in terms of ground ball gets.

Yep, this is probably true.
Surely we've got enough mids though with Jonno, Ras and Shai backing up Andy and Caleb.
They might be giving a negating role to Johnson which doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence. I don't think Ras has the speed to go with Anderson.

Why do you think the game will be outside the stoppages such that Jackson can run Witts around the ground?

If Jackson loses the hit outs and GC mids clear the ball, it will be kicked 50m away from Jackson before he can get any running off Witts.

A dry game, I can imagine it works. Without our best defender and in the wet I think we need to win the ruck battle or we will start the game on the half back line.

Jackson has been fantastic against the bigger rucks this year as 2025 LJ is much stronger than previous years. Meanwhile 2025 Darcy struggled massively against two big rucks in Gawn and Cameron. Against Witts I dont think we can afford Darcy playing against him for long. Considering both Witts and LJ play around 80% of gametime in ruck when they are the main ruck we can play Voss in ruck only against the second ruck/

You would think that but JL has already confirmed he will play minutes this weekend in some capacity. So if he's on the plane, he's either lining up against the Gold Coast or the South Port 3s.
