For a forward line lacking actualy fwds, you want to remove one of them? We've got enough skinny half back flankers, don't need to add another one. We need more legitimate forwards in the fwd line.

Yeah, this I don't get. Absolute insanity. It runs in this board. I should know I am totally insane. But I'm a write. that's why I am insane. So, I want to know what are other people's excuses? heck putting Wil to HB! I am astounded. Why not utilise his ability as a one out forward. Full Forward. Isolate him as the only player within 25 metrexof goal. Then stick your two deep small forwards, I would have Datoli and Hanily in this week to do the job, on the 25 and as soon as the ball comes forward they run very quickly into the forward line, to the contest and if Will doesn't take the mark they clean up. A bit like Pies use Elliot.

Guessing you didn't watch the game. Adams was at some centre bounces, less than half that of Heeney, significantly less than Gus and Rowy, less than Chad.

Spent a lot of the game forward having it bombed on top of his head (like Hayward) for the Crows defence to mop up/spoil.

I watched it. He didn't do much though. Nor did the aforementioned. They were all crap. His ball use when he got it worried me. But then again most of our ball use this year worries me.

Yes let's rush Wicks back and risk it, play Francis off a few weeks out with concussion, chuck a kid (Dattoli) out there who hasn't run out a full VFL game after no pre-season and months off with a back stress injury, as well as a still partly underdone Mills ... all in the same side.

MIlls probably still a bit underdone (less than others), but we all know he'll be back and should manage a full game in defence, or chuck him forward late.

Or manage Grundy more, ruck Ladhams more, leave Buller out.

Yes I did read the injury update. Wicks is a test from a 1-2 week injury as you say, after 1 week. It's about risk.

Harry didn't play a full game, that doesn't show that he's ready to go.

I've told you several reasons why Dattoli shouldn't play seniors this week, you could read them before responding. He has played a half and then was stuck up in the forward line later in his "2nd" game without getting up to the ball as much, which indicates he's not fully fit, as well as IDK, the reality of his year, with no pre season and months off with back stress. Or hey we could rush another underdone player in, a first year, without regard for his wellbeing and development.

Subs have to be able to play a full game. This notion of "just make him sub" means nothing when a player goes off early.

"You believe in Cox" is a laughable statement to make about my views on selection. Perhaps you're new to the Swans board.

Cox has played underdone players this year e.g. Mills, which I opposed, so it seems like you are more in line with his thinking at times.

PS. Where did I make a judgement about Florent overall? I just mocked the idea that he should return, based on form in the VFL, which I watched.

I though McLean was shocking on the weekend.
He moved like a turtle on sleeping tablets and his game awareness and leading was nonexistent.
Sure he kicked 2 goals; one when he got held as he put his hands in the air in the hope that the ball might magically land in his hands and the second when it did. And the look of bewilderment as it landed in his lap was a sight to behold.
Sure in a final act of desperation I'd choose McLean to kick for goal instead of Ladhams, but IMO Pistol deserve a place ahead of Dos for this weekend.

3 Heeney & Francis forward.
To see the ball constantly plonked on the head of Adams was embarrassing.
Heeney is IMO far and way our best current contested mark and he actually knows how to play as a fwd. We need him more up there than we need him in the middle.
Assuming Francis passes concussion protocols I'd also play him fwd.
He's guy who actually offers a lead and reads the flight of the ball.

Adelaide kicked 21.5, we kicked 5.11.
Now if the goal/behinds tallies had been reversed,they'd have kicked 5.21.51 and we'd have kicked 11.5.71 and won comfortably.
So my advice to Cox is to tell our chaps to kick straighter and stop the fellows on the other team scoring so well.

How we won that game was beyond me. Just dreadful. We ignored a really good young forward. I was shocked when he was shown the doorat the start of the 2015 season. Sants picked him up for nothing in the 2015 Preseason Draft. A totally disgusting and vile move by our club. What's more, it was the wrong move.

We let him go so he would get a regular AFL game. He couldn't get into the 22 of a team that made 3 Grand finals in five tears. Disgusting and vile?

I liked Deano. He was much maligned. Everyone blamed him for losing a match in the final minutes but Buddy had a kick after him and did exactly the same and NO ****ER SAID A THING. It was buddy's kick that was turned over and lost the game.

To get into those situations in the first place he did some impressive stuff

He tackled Dustin Martin and caught him holding the ball.
Against Hawthorn he outmarked Ben Stratton, a very good defender, in a one on one aerial contest.

Guy was an excitement machine
