Clearly he has no desire to put the club first and step down but doesn’t want to get sacked

He knows Koch, Richardson to go with a few others won’t “sack” him but instead might try and sell this as Hinkley putting the club first and stepping down

Hinkley is clearly trying to stop that from happening and force the club to let him see out the year, or actually come out and “sack him”

I fully believe that he won't step down and I fully believe that they won't sack him. They've proven over the long term that neither party has any interest in doing the right thing for the future of the club. They care about themselves, their pay packet, their legacy and how they perceive they'll appear.

The absolute best we'll get is Carr getting the last game or 2 of the season after we're mathematically out of the finals race.

We could really hit next season with some momentum if we made the change now, but there will be an element of a few people wanting to salt the earth on the way out of this era so they aren't shown up when Carr immediately improves things. Because the club is full of self interested pieces of shit.

Prediction:

We've got a few soft games over the next 5 or 6 weeks that will get him through. We'll beat Melbourne and Sydney at home probably and probably West Coast. We'll get to 11 losses after the Hawks game, which means we're done especially with our poor percentage, and they'll keep him on for one more week for the Showdown believing we can cause an upset because "Showdowns are always 50/50" and we'll get absolute belted.

They'll let him have the game in Geelong and his farewell lap will be the round 22 loss to the Dockers on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval, and Carr will coach the last 2 games.
