You're protected when you're picking up the ball, not if ducking. Both free kicks were correct and well umpired

Nathan Williamson is not a very good umpire. He's very quick to blow the whistle and it's often based on what he expects, and I dare say hopes, is about to happen and not on what he actually saw. That preposterous free against Stewart in last year's prelim was a prime example, and he's pulled a few more out today as well.
