Yeah, he's clearly aiming to bump him, but not so sure about it being a targeted, maliciously intended bump to hurt Anderson. Some players get hurt from bumps, some don't. He hits his head on the ground, no doubt, but Stewart can't determine that happening (not implying you are)

Few people are saying (again, not implying you are) that he should be suspended for it, which is ridiculous, imo. Again, I feel like he wasn't braced for the hit & that makes the aftermath look worse than it was.Though it could be folk trolling/Geelong haters posting there should be a suspension.

I can't see what he would be reported for though? You are allowed to bump, it's not illegal. Unless he gets concussion - but he didn't.

The same??? Lol! Franklin hits the head..... Stewart his nowhere near the head. Franklin also has his elbow leave his body, which has always made the incident worse in the AFL and tribunal's opinion.

But look, I'm not big city lawyer...but, if I get concussion because a bloke bumps me fairly (ie. gets me in the body and doesn't touch my head), surely the AFL is still making the workplace unsafe for me?

I mean, they're literally saying that I'm going to be subject to actions and behaviours that could give me a brain damage.

How does giving a guy 3 weeks if I do get concussed protect me?

From a legal perspective, I can't see how this approach by the AFL protects them.

'The Concussion'.

In an incident sure to be looked at by Match Review Officer Michael Christian, Hardwick said Anderson had not suffered concussion.

"He's gone for scans on his chest, just precautionary," Hardwick said.

"We think he's OK.

"Our doctor cleared him, that wasn't an issue. I think the ARC sent him off to have a test, but the doctor cleared him of that. It's just his chest."


"I want to make very clear it was his chest, it wasn't head or anything like that, no concussion."
