and I call BS.. his manager would be looking at them all, or is not doing his job.Apparently he hasn’t looked at any deals yet.

His manager, I agree. There is a chance Rowell hasn’t looked at the deals imo, he’s a weird cat.and I call BS.. his manager would be looking at them all, or is not doing his job.
Probably just offer what the Cats offered for Smith.

He’s gone, he’s leaving.
Biggest question, what’s he worth in trade value? Is there a way to use that value to bring a player of quality in? Because the suns don’t need more draft picks
2 F1. Clubs can trade 2 years ahead. He's worth 2 r1s but I'm not sure what you will do with them as bids will eat them up and I doubt any club wants to swap a future 1st for a 1st this year.
OkRowell would be 2 first round picks. He doesn't have the baggage that Smith had and if you offered them Pick 17 for Rowell I suspect they would just let him walk to the draft because the draft picks mean less to them than to other teams like the Dogs who just had to roll over and accept our offer.
Why do they have to take a 2025 1st round pick? He's worth 2 r1s but I'm not sure what you will do with them as bids will eat them up and I doubt any club wants to swap a future 1st for a 1st this year.
They don’tHow does Collingwood get a deal done for Rowell if he picks them? GC will want 2x first round picks, and Collingwood won't be allowed to trade them, as they won't have used two in four years.
I think the perfect trade would be if he wanted to come to Richmond a straight out 1st rounder that comes in before the bid would suit the GC suns, But wouldnt think he considers another team in a rebuild after spending his entire career at a low teamHe's worth 2 r1s but I'm not sure what you will do with them as bids will eat them up and I doubt any club wants to swap a future 1st for a 1st this year.
They'll probably ask for an exemption, but it would difficult to get when they're already the oldest team ever. They don’t
If collingwood can get an exemption for this. Scrap the ruleThey'll probably ask for an exemption, but it would difficult to get when they're already the oldest team ever.
I think from memory Port successfully got one for JHF, but he was only 19 at the time.
Agree. This exact scenario is why the rule was introducedIf collingwood can get an exemption for this. Scrap the rule

neither Rowell or Reid excite me tbh, they aren’t the type of mids you build a club around. Maybe Harley is if he can get more of the pill but jury is out, too early.
It’s not too late to delete this

You're assuming the AFL enforces rules based on the reasons they were brought in for. big assumption.Agree. This exact scenario is why the rule was introduced![]()
Considering their first pick is pick 36 currently, I doubt it.Been getting linked to Collingwood a lot lately in the media... surely not?
Even still think he'd be crazy to leave the Suns, with them about to play finals for the 1st time. surely he can see the light and that their on the right path.Considering their first pick is pick 36 currently, I doubt it.
GCS list is pretty stacked. Don’t think they can/need to pay him like other clubs would.Even still think he'd be crazy to leave the Suns, with them about to play finals for the 1st time. surely he can see the light and that their on the right path.
They can't afford to lose Rowell 23 about to turn 24 just coming into his prime, more pressure will than come on Anderson and an old Touk Miller.GCS list is pretty stacked. Don’t think they can/need to pay him like other clubs would.
Not to mention they’ve had to overpay to keep players for a long time, so there would be guys there on inflated money.
They won’t (or shouldn’t) hamstring themselves into not being able to pay all of their young upcoming guys in the next 3-4 years by paying too much to keep Rowell. Their midfield is excellent with or without him. They can't afford to lose Rowell 23 about to turn 24 just coming into his prime, more pressure will than come on Anderson and an old Touk Miller.
