SPOT ON!Are you sure it's Wright driving it?
I hope he's asked the players who they want, as it seems that's all that really matters nowadays.

Carlton should start a new trend.
Be the first club to bring in performance based contracts.
Meet your KPI's and you get paid. Don't meet them and you don't get paid. Simple.
Don't like the coach? Doesn't matter.
I Worked 22 years selling cars and had a lot of "bosses" I didn't get on with.
Still had to do the job if I wanted to succeed and earn.
At the moment they can go about their jobs half arsed and still get paid the same, with minimal, if not zero, repercussions.
That's a damn good life they've got.
I think we’ll get the ‘while it’s still mathematically possible’ rhetoric served up next week. The death blow could come after the Collingwood game..It looks like a lot of fans outside of BF are calling Voss out too.
According to a report lots of bluebaggers calling into radio talkback after the game to show how disgusted they’ve been with our lack of effort and terrible game style.
I think it’s just a matter of time before club makes the call on Voss.
He’s had 3-4 years now and we’ve been stagnant if not going backwards.

On the outside that may be true but I’ve got a feeling the club and particular Wright are aware we’re going nowhere this season.I think we’ll get the ‘while it’s still mathematically possible’ rhetoric served up next week. The death blow could come after the Collingwood game..

Yep until the losses pile up and then they’re happy to throw the coach right under the bus. Rinse and repeat. Been happening since the GC game in 2012 which ended Ratten.Yep, the players have shown for many years that they want a friend as their head coach.
Whilst I agree the actions of the current player group seems to indicate a distinct lack of motivation to have genuine success if we did something like what you are proposing that then aside from washed up journey men no player would ever come to Carlton and every rookie would leave as soon as they got the chance. We would definitely finish last each year, members would stop paying memberships and going to games, sponsors would stop paying sponsorships and in 5 years we would either be fully controlled by the AFL or out the competition.
Supply and Demand. We can offer guys contracts that are heavily performance based but unless every club does the same, nobody will want to sign with us. No top player is going to sign a deal like that when the alternative is guaranteed money.
It's actually going the other direction getting with more and more ridiculous contracts being offered.
I’ve always said two messiahs is better than one.Yes! Another messiah!
I’m sure we can tarnish Longmire’s reputation as well as we did to Pagans and Malthouse’s
Yeah, I know. Post was mostly tongue in cheek.
Just really frustrated that players have so much influence these days. Maybe they've always had it?
You don't understand, that's where we've gone wrong in the past! One messiah pushing to get in a messiah head coach. What could possibly go wrong?
Don't think you'd get the PA on board, and we have to meet minimum salary cap payments.Carlton should start a new trend.

The answer is to find/ draft blokes with a ruthless will to win. Until you have a critical mass of those sorts in your club it won’t change.
What's the collective noun for messiahs? A salvation? You don't understand, that's where we've gone wrong in the past!
We just need to keep bringing in messiahs over and over and over until all we have are messiahs. Once we've collected them all, we're sure to do well!
