Universal Love Welcome to Carlton Graham Wright

Spoken to multiple people recently who have had a bit to do with Wright over the years. No real 'ITK' information in terms of insider gossip but each of them said he's going to be making some serious waves end of year. Spoke to one last night in fact and he said there's a lot of people at Carlton who would be very nervous and that there's a few higher ups that have had too much to say over the years who should be making other plans for 2026.

My uncle worked with him at the Pies and from all reports he left on quite bitter terms with a few individuals with a point to prove coming across to Carlton.

I just hope its the right changes.

Yep. I've mentioned this for weeks and had it confirmed last night. Comment before game was Voss is gone and he knows it. Wright doesn't think he is person to take us forward. Lloyd is gone as well

There will be multiple changes to personnel and also structure of football department. Priestley is across all of it

Hope so mate. It’s embarrassing now.

Imo Vossy's pressers and on field behaviour has been the biggest sign he knows he's gone. He's had a complete shift in his message and stuff like him randomly sitting in the corner of the coaches box etc.

Images of him practically in laughter with some of our diabolical skill issues also says to me he knows he's gone so theres no point getting too worked up about it.

Thanks for the intel. Was he referring to players or officials? Or both?
Both.

He also mentioned SOS causing trouble at the club still which I found intriguing, I responded 'Jack?' and he said 'no, Stephen'.

Sounds like theres still some third parties trying to influence from the side lines.

Left Collingwood bitter with a few people and a point to prove, where have I heard that before.

🙀

Both.

Thinking SOS upsetting the apple cart with our list making overtures to more than just TDK and inflating some financial expectations.

I get the feeling Wright has been getting his ducks in a row behind the scenes all year, but especially the last 6-8 weeks, and is going to undertake some serious surgery on the football department soon after 15 August. Cannot come quick enough.

I've heard similar. Thimk he really wanted a good six weeks to two months before the trade period to start putting things into place for that very reason .

The talk of Bartel and others earlier in the year doesn't come about if he's not putting in tons of work in the background.

Roll out the Barrel🤪

If he can fix modern Carlton and turn us into perennial contenders, he can pick whatever job he wants in football.

As much as we hate him and that he's gone senile and is looking for any excuse to blame all of his time at carlton elsewhere... There's a grain of truth in Mick saying recently Carlton has too many cooks.... Third parties - rich wannabe football know it all's, and ex players, and board members all think they can and deserve their say. Too many cooks is right in a way.

Probably correct. But Mick was an absolute nonce for many reasons beyond just that.

Whats the story with SOS influencing?

Even more so, given he is working at another club

Don't really know exactly, that was pretty much all I got from him.

If I were to take a guess there's still some people at Carlton considered 'his' people causing a few issues.

By no means do I think SOS is the cause of all our issues though.

He'd have to be a special type of person to believe he'd be here next year.

Seems as if the majority here have faith in his abilities and like that he has a history of initiating change…Wonder if that will remain if his views differ from the supporters.

The way I see it is, things aren't working now and trending downwards so he has a bit of a free hit.
