Lance “Buddy” Franklin had an OK skill set.I think in the future we may remember him in the same conversation as Goodes and Kelly. A big call, but i haven't seen a more naturally talented Swan in the last 30 years.
Good pointLance “Buddy” Franklin had an OK skill set.
I don’t really think of Buddy as a Swan.Lance “Buddy” Franklin had an OK skill set.
Me too. Great player and earnt his paycheck but never had my heart.I don’t really think of Buddy as a Swan.

I don’t really think of Buddy as a Swan.

It’s funny because I don’t either.just an all time great.I don’t really think of Buddy as a Swan.
I have been really happy that we have used Gulden sparingly around the contest. His CBAs are down from 36% to 15%. This allows him to become the outside runner that the team has been crying out for all through the early part of the season and makes our clearance work much more damaging.I must say after the Melbourne and Adelaide losses, I was quite concerned about our direction under Cox, but have been pleasantly surprised at our turn around.
Gulden and Mills returning has made a huge difference, not only with what the bring as footballers but also leaders.
Mills has helped to improve our defence and gulden has helped improve our midfield. Their composure under pressure helps those around them and they are our best decision makers (along with Heeney) at the club.
We are building incredibly well to put ourselves in a position to play finals, however if we don’t get there for whatever reason (would be tough missing out with 14 wins which is possible), we have built a huge platform to have another tilt in an even year Premiership in 26.
Eking out wins in last two weeks continue to build momentum for this season and next.

Congrats to you and your partner on the new addition!Heens and Brodie surely in AA best.
Heens though, that bloke is just Elite.
Great win but we weren't at our optimal. Good second half to the year and looking back, losing to the Dees/Dons is horrid all thinga considered.
When my newborn daughter is old enough, I'm sure to tell her how the Swannies won in a cracker of a game.![]()
Agree re Florent. He would be an improvement on either of those two and has earnt a recall.Just put Heeney in the title mate lol can we be positive about a win please Heeney2Franklin
What a superstar
Grundy great but we didn’t capitalise on his dominance
Chad and Blakey played ok but stop trying to be so fancy.
Errol good moments, Sheldrick, wicks, Cunningham, Hamling , Campbell , Buller had good moments
Roberts and Bice are massive problems in their form, Florent has to come in for one, clearly for the other
Ladhams sub still baffling imo
But Heeney is a legend and fast moving up the list of the best we have had
Would you expect cold milk in the sun to age differently?A lot of the comments on here have aged like warm milk in the sun.![]()
Great to see Juzzy have four tackles! One of them was an absolute cracker.
Absolutely.Would you expect cold milk in the sun to age differently?
What I saw of it our forward line really worries me.Not one of the great games but my only complaint was that we got a bit too fancy too often and tripped over our own feet.
Heeney
Grundy got many hit outs but a lot of them went to North.
Gulden was hurt early on and played like it. Not crisp but battled on.
Warner played like a smart arse.
McInerney was very solid. His tackle that brought his goal was murderous.
Wicks played so well he got a special whinge from Clarkson.
Hamling, Melican and Cunningham were solid, as were Buller and McLean.
JJ looked lost without someone to tag. Not a great game from him.
Gee whiz Campbell got into some good spots only to be ignored. Must be frustrating.
Blakey was more solid tonight - fewer clangers.
Hayward worked incredibly hard all game.
Gus played a decent game too.
Others were quiet, mostly OK but not good or bad.
Good to get the win but our best would have won by 12+ goals.
Even after it's warmed?Absolutely.
In what way?A lot of the comments on here have aged like warm milk in the sun.![]()
It was really strange that the goal was paid and this wasn't reviewed straight away. And yet the previous shot was reviewed where Cunningham(?) clearly touched it..
As an aside we have had some really poor umpiring lately but kudos to the video review umpire with the Curtis 'goal'. Would have been easy to give it with the first few replays but he waited to see the final angle where Curtis has kicked the arm not the ball.
