Hey guys legit info here, I'm hearing a long term deal is immanent after last night's performance, looking like 8 years at 2mil per year, just waiting on the signature, Byrnes and his manager are meeting this evening so should know more soon 🥳
Don't ever leave you crack me up

Walsh is a B+ mid who'd come at a pretty hefty price imo

And I don't think we need one

I don't think we need mids at all unless they are either a genuine A-grader or an extremely cheap valued mid with a point of difference - or a free agent like Zac Bailey next year

Our next generation of mids consists of NWM, Hall, Pou, Garcia, Boxshall and then more speculative types like Travaglia Wilson Clark Dow + 2025 first rounder

The future looks very promising
Averages 0.69 Brownlow votes a game, higher than any St Kilda player in the current era - more than Brownlow votes pig Robert Harvey.

Averages 27.44 disposals a game.

Nas, Hall and Pou have barely played any AFL midfield minutes in their career. Garcia and Box the same, these guys are all loved by us because of potential - none are proven long term.

We only have Macrae and Steele who have played midfield for a prolonged period.

Apparently Walsh is only on $825k a year, which is what we are offering Leek bloody Aleer 🤣

If he's not cooked, which i dont believe he is, he is a no brainer as a 25 year old bonafide a grade mid.

I'm going to be really pissed if BONGOS was Nathan Jones this whole time...

This last 6 weeks of footy has not been good for our supposed war chest … nas hall windy all prob added a combined 1.2 a year on to their salary
Got no issue renegotiating with TDK.

Not a great look, but things change. His form sucks.

We need to prioritise NAS & Hall who have both had significantly more impressive seasons then him.

Offer him 1.3m, it's already an absolute robbery on his behalf. If he doesn't like it, stay at the Blues.

Sure
Pay NAS 2m
Pou 2m
TDK 2m
Fck why stop there it’s only shit truck cash …flick Byrnsey a cool 1.4 it’s only money right ???
Fill the rest of the list with Robert Eddy’s and wonder why you fall short again blaming it on shit drafting and a bounce of the ball….fck me
You gotta build a young side that wants to come through together and that has to start somewhere
And show me where exactly I said we don’t pay Nas what he’s worth ??????
No need to reply with words I don’t want to over tax you just flick me another of those grade 1 drawings again 👍
He's worth whatever clubs will pay and then probably a lot more than that to us.

How good would it be watching players like Monty Byrnes, Zak Jones & Paddy Dow for the next few years instead of having the best player in the comp all for the sake of some dumb theory based on Ablett leaving a side stacked with AA and premierships players?

I'm looking forward to the day that our salary cap is tricky to manage, at the moment we're courting average players on buddy franklin deals after overpaying duds for years to reach the salary cap floor

The body language from Ross is interesting, but he could also just be all over it like the rest of us.

I would like people to decipher Windy's story on insta about "Naz is bongos for longer". Lock Windy, Hall and Nas down. Hall's game yesterday was immense.
im 19 pages behind,so forgive me if this been covered

but it appears to mean he has balls, nothing connected to staying or going

I want Marshall to stay but this sweeping statement completely disregards the fact he was absolutely battered by Gawn for most of the match. Which is no shame, mind you, as Gawn is a star.

If I knew Marshall was struggling with an injury (I don't know this for a fact, I assume he is) then I would excuse most of his poor performances this season.

But let's say he is not injured and he is struggling, then a first round pick for him would be ideal.

Only the club will know the answer to this.

This 'heart and soul' stuff is bullsh*t from nuff supporters who become attached to players.

Again, I do want Marshall to stay. Would like to see at least one season of him and TDK but some of the rhetoric around Marshall leaving is laughable.
I don't know whether he is injured or what, but he can barely jump. Great last kick but he was basically humiliated by Gawn over the game

He’s looking tired is Ro I’m a fan but agree can’t get off the ground and even when he went forward it wasn’t like he was clunking them …IF he’s carrying an injury fair enough

I've spoken a bit about Marshall tonight, but if its Carlton he goes to - we might actually be a chance to grab their TDK compo depending on where they finish.

Why? Dean, if we finish just below Carlton, SOS will absolutely put it out there that he'll bid on Dean - a bit like Kako.

Marshall may well stay, but dont discount this from happening.

O'Sullivan would be as untouchable as Max Holmes. For some reason, I think Sam would be gettable though, looking at their list - they've got noone else on their list that I'd want.

As for Carlton, im still keen on Walsh. It really is out of sight out of mind with him. I dont believe he is cooked like others do, he's a gun.
What about Ollie Dempsey?

How much will he need to be offered? 1.7 for him too? For some reason I doubt that will be enough.

I don’t believe half of what I read and collingwood are shooting for a flag and have so many players set to retire when this run is done.

Perryman on a million sorry I’m not buying that one, probably front loaded dropping back to something like $750k average out a bit over $800k.

Anyway the first thing we need to do is sign Nas, if he walks it’s a disaster. Loosing him would be bad enough, getting chump change will be brutal.
not to pick on you, but it's funny this is said about many contracts but TDK's is somehow $1.7x6(?) flat.
me, I see it as possibly $1.7 over 1 or 2 years, then it drops back to $1.2 or something in the same vein, still a lot of money, but not what many are believing.

no knowledge other my own gut feel.
Max Hall is currently on a 50k a year contract with match payments 🤣🤣🤣

He's next contract will make him a millionaire! And good on him.
I can't find the exact figure for rookies, but 1st year players also receive a $4k game bonus for every game played, so that's another $96k if all games are played, a not too shabby sum
