Depending on your definition of transitioning, between 3% and 0.15% of people who transition regret transitioning.

I acknowledge that this still leaves a subset of the population that regrets their transition, but 3% of what is already a small percentage of the population (39 from 10,000 individuals) is much lower than the binary you're proposing as equal.

That examples exist does not entail that those examples are representative of a wider population.

Thanks for the link, I'll have a read.

Im for the pride round as long as the players and coaching staff dress for the game the exact same way the lgbtq... community dress when they celebrate it in their marches and madi gras. Every team has to wear g strings, stockings, bondage gear, dog collars, leather slave gear with dog chains, makeup, dresses, high heels and nuns and priests outfits. You know, how they dress when they march down the street in public to celebrate it! Oh, and at half time whilst still dressed like that have kids story time in the middle of the ground reading them books about lgbtqi things instead of Aus kick. 🥰

Bit concerning that you're fetishising AFL players in what you'd consider a sexual way, and how it makes you think of kids.

You've really thought about this haven't you?

Revisiting this considering the Swans vs Essendon pride match is thos coming weekend.

The AFL still has no openly gay past or present players. I believe if more clubs openly and visibly acknowledge this issue with support, this situation could change.
My first thought was its kind of amazing that this is still the case in this day and age, but then again I think of how a few players in recent memory have been sanctioned for homophobic language and I guess it paints a picture there's still some work to be done.

You've never pushed yourself.

If you genuinely think you have, then you've no idea what it means to truly push yourself.

Pathetic.
Thank you for reminding me that you have no lower limit.
When have you pushed yourself?

R-word... I didn't claim that I did... You did.

I've just pointed out that you're in a displaced reality.

Posting on BF isn't a push. As tough and strong as it might make you feel...

Pathetic and embarrassing.
Please answer the question, sir.

A troll with standards.

How do you intend to hold a pride round while accounting for the 'Haneen Zreika's' among us?
/\ Funniest post of the day.

For disclosure, I'm LGBT and I don't want a pride round on my behalf.

It's idiotic.
You are also not the official spokesperson for all LGBT+ people, so your opinion is just that, your own opinion. I prefer to listen to a wider selection of people than one person's opinion.

Careful or you might not get your personal invitation!

As you should.

Clearly the AFL doesn't know how to handle issues involving LGBT+ and other 'victims', and I suspect they do more harm than good by trying.

What is the point of a pride round?

To celebrate inclusivity and show support for people who might feel that the sport isn't a welcoming place for them. It would also help to challenge existing stigmas and viewpoints that only a certain type of person can and should play footy, and helps educate players and fans about the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community. And you never know, it might create a workspace where closeted players feel as though they can come out and be themselves. What are your reasons against a Pride Round?

To appease sponsors and AFLW players really.

Falls on dead ears to me when inclusivity includes homophobic religion. We're opposed to homophobia unless your imaginary friend tells you its ok. Lol

The whole Izak Rankine thing is a farce too. The AFL took nearly a week to make a decision that's acceptable to sponsors, the public, and the woke...and they still screwed it up. Calling a presumably heterosexual man a ****** isn't a hanging offense to me. I'd rather he get a slap on the wrist and be allowed to play finals.

So because some people follow a religion that preaches hate we should just not bother trying? If anything it highlights that we need to try harder. I'm all for people having the freedom to follow the religion of their choice but following a set of beliefs is a choice and doesn't take priority over something which is beyond a person's control. We don't have to 'respect their religion' if it tells us we're sinners and don't deserve to live. Giving Rankine nothing but a slap on the wrist sends the wrong message altogether.

martin_19_88 summed it up pretty well. Can you please explain how eliminating Pride Round would benefit LGBT+ people?
