Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Personal observation about the past few years.

When we believe that we have little to nothing but good things to look forward to people don't want to dig deeper and find out the inner workings of everything.

When the shit hits the fan (as it did prior to Camp Curnow in '23 and this year) suddenly everyone knows the inner workings of everything and every little leak possible comes out.

We've genuinely gone most of Voss's tenure without many whispers.

Now that the shit has hit the fan again everyone with close ties to the club is talking up a storm.

Don't need to bee a Doctor to figure out that wont be the same again.
and yeah, before the age of 24.
But as you point out, i'm no doctor so I'm sure the club will have his best interests at heart and not rush him back...

If you add Walker and project 3-4 years into the future then sure, maybe. But HOK, Walsh, Reid, Smith, Hewitt, Cera, Lord, F Young imo doesn't get close to

McInerny, Neale, Dunkley, McCluggage, Ashcroft, Ashcroft, Berry, Bailey, Rayner

or

English, Bontempelli, Richards, Libba, Treloar, Kennedy, Sanders, Williams, Freijah

As it currently stands at least.

This is exactly who I'm referencing.

They'd have taken a bullet for Marchy. Every injury was like someone stabbing them all.

Cripps was super close to Martin. Has always considered him the best footy player he ever went against coming up the rnaks.

And yes, Kennedy, as we know was voted by his peers as best clubman.

There's others (Owies hurt too) but those three were monumental losses.

This points to pretty serious cultural problems within the list.
It might hurt for your mates to be moved on, but surely they can see why those list decisions were made?

Look GW is a smart operator.
He will know the issues. Not sure he will be too fussed with guys talking about looking around..he would have seen it plenty of times.
His job is make the right changes which gives the list a chance to compete.
Flags arnt won solely on talent anymore..game plans / style more important. It's why he will know get things right esp the style and theres enough talent to challenge...we could swap our bottom so called 6 with those of pies crows lions hawks cats whoever..wouldn't make a difference .
His real job is then to sell it to the whole footy department..and if u know anything bout GW if ur not on board ur out.

Reid easily.

Perhaps the only exception would be if I was a premiership contender and was looking for the final piece of the puzzle.

Nothing to do with Cripps here but:

I can see the AFL giving West Coast a priority selection in a "you must trade this selection and bring in a veteran so you're not a basket case next year" type scenario which they've done before.

The post I responded to wasn’t about Cripps leaving it was about what you suggested was his trade value which again doesn’t paint a very good picture.
If you for one moment thinks we would trade Crippa for a mid 1st rounder, if WC even have 1 then I suggest you do some homework.

I have done my homework Lily. Part of doing said homework means understanding/accepting that if Cripps formally requested a trade this off season there would be some unique circumstances that would mean we wouldn’t likely get market value for him.

A combination of his age/fact he’s a slow inside mid and wants to go home for plausible reasons and the fact the club would be morally (if not contractually) obligated to let him go after everything he’s done would put them in a difficult spot in negotiations.

I would love nothing more than for WC to give us Reid, Hewitt and 25 first rounders or to get sucked into a bidding war with Freo but can’t see it happening.

I’m more than happy to be proven wrong though.
