I'm guessing realistically he is comparing its physical sales in Australia to the same physical sales that DK, Death Stranding and AC had in Australia? I guess there could be an argument for that, but it is still quite a misleading thing for a CEO to be saying as it's obviously missing a fair bit of context unless ABC has misquoted him.
And is he comparing respective launch weeks, or RL's launch vs sales in the same week? Cos DK is the only one that released concurrently and has the setbacks of being on a newly released console and being $110.

let's just compare the all time peak on Steam for RL and Assassin's Creed Shadow... guess which is which..

I don't understand your point. It would be a bizarre decision not to automate the process. There are about 100 players in that league alone.

My point being, for the players that couldn't do the scan, they didn't bother spending the time to do it the old fashioned way.

Ok, but if that's more than a handful of players, it's still a lot of work and it would all be pointless once they get scanned because the scan would replace the sculpt.

Sure - I'm just saying it's also a further indication they don't have much faith in their own skills and don't really care if they put out a dodgy product.

Might've considered applying benefit of the doubt if any had been earned, but alas.

If players/coaches don’t show up when BA are there to do the scan, they can’t complain when that player looks like shit.

We’ve had some people in here complain about all the effort being put into face scans taking away from gameplay, now BA should be spending MORE time on face scans ?
Can we at least pick a line of criticism and stay consistent to it ?

I am being consistent - I've always contended that them hanging their hat on the tech is a surefire sign they have no confidence in their game or their ability to make it.

I've also always said it's clear they are pumping these games out in quick succession and there's very little care or effort involved.

I can kinda see why some people are getting frustrated with the thread. Mostly because it feels like it's mostly been about calling out Big Ant in general and keeping them accountable for things and not the game or Aussie Rules Gaming itself.

I feel like it's gotten to a point where maybe this thread should be renamed to something like this...

"The Big-Ass Big Ant Studio Thread of Broken Launches, Rushed Games and Pissed-Off Customers! (Now with more bugs and clapback comments from the studio!)"

It might keep people from coming into the thread complaining about people complaining about Big Ant and it also might make a resource from those people who want to keep tabs on the company and everything that's been brought to light.

Plus, I feel like a broader thread would bring more attention to these issues for outside parties who don't pay attention to what's going on with the other games and such.

This is the AFL26 thread and was intended for constructive discussion about the game (what people like and what they want to see improved on).

It’s now just been taken over by people who want to talk shit about BA and their games and anyone with anything positive to say has been bullied out.

From my side, I’m loving AFL26 and have had a great time playing other BA games so naturally, I have an interest, but you guys can’t stand them and yet you’re here everyday talking about them.

I think they call that living rent free inside your head.
