One won the league. The other won a waste paper basket and a pre-season friendly tournament.

One was close to being sacked, the other is according to RossFC a penitentiary.

Did you watch the Tournament?
No because I dont want to give FIFA eyeballs on it. It's a disgraceful glorified friendly tournament. Players playing in ridiculous heat with 2 days off in the summer total...

A club without a home loses money and folds. Shocked to be sitting here.
The Wyndham Council will be so thrilled now that the boutique park ground has been built for no one to play on.

They gave away that land as well. Kate Roffey was CEO at the time. License should have gone to SE Melbourne. Western deal always looked far fetched

CREWE, England (AP) — A police force in northwest England will use a “DNA tagging spray” to try to curb disorderly behavior from soccer fans this season.

Cheshire police said Wednesday they will equip officers with the spray at all fourth-tier matches in the region, including for Crewe Alexandra’s game against Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

The spray marks equipment, clothing and skin with an invisible uniquely-coded synthetic DNA solution that can be used for forensic evidence. It “clings to skin and clothing for months,” police said. The spray shows up under ultraviolet light.

“We know that the vast majority of football fans are law abiding, but unfortunately on occasions there are some who are intent on causing disorder, which is why a strong policing operation is essential,” said chief constable Mark Roberts, who is the lead for soccer policing in the UK.

“I’m confident that this new tool will make a real difference,” he added, “by helping to identify and deter the criminals who attend football matches here in Cheshire.”

For all the moralising about football supporters, I've been going for three decades and the vast, vast majority are just there to see their team.

Then authorities want people to think otherwise, but I've only felt threatened or in danger at a football match once. Bit of handbags between two sets of fans walking out of a derby. Police come in and start piling through the crowd.

It was the horses that scared the shit out of me, not supporters.

Authorities want you to believe football supporters are a problem.

Maybe soccer supporters shouldn't be **** wits? Only sport that opposing supporters have to be segregated by security
It is pretty crazy and a lot of the time they do bring it on themselves. On a hull forum I was trying to understand why they can't buy away tickets digitally and turns out it's so they can verify you aren't a home fan sneaking in the away end because everyone needs to be segregated. Bonkers in 2025

What if you are sprayed incorrectly, for example if you were actually the victim of an altercation? Or you were standing near someone who got sprayed. Would you be denied entry to games when the UV light shows it up?

There may be unknown health effects from long term synthetic DNA markers. The police using the spray would have no idea of an individual's skin conditions or allergies. What if it went in someone's eyes, or an asthmatic breathed it in?

That was pretty similar to my experience at QPR while trying to see them play Millwall on a Wednesday night.

They wouldn't sell me a ticket unless I was with a QPR season ticket holder. Felt absolutely bizarre to me at the time. They shut down streets after the game etc.

Just hard to believe in this day and age it still requires that level of concern.
