I found all the booing of Daicos interesting. Do the hawks fans have something against people of Macedonian heritage? It's casual racism surely!

Im pretty sure it won't be a case to answer but a lot of those elements are irrelevant as the duty of care overrides it all. The counter argument is: Newcombe shouldve foreseen that you can't make an effective tackle at that speed so it turns into a bump. He didn't slow down enough. 3 weeks. That's how disgusting the May decision was. It set a stupid precedent.
That’s not how it works Dan.

He made an effective tackle but there was a headclash, there weren’t alternatives, and it doesn’t turn into a bump 😂

It isn’t at all similar.

Pies don't have any line breakers with his speed - actually I don't know if any side does, but atm who is their Impey, Max Holmes, Ed Richards, Wanganeen Milera? They have no running speed through the middle. Players who can regularly rack up 25-30 and say 600 metres gained. Crisp and DeGoey get caught a lot last night. McCreery is more a short burst player. Lipinski?

Smith Mitchell, Mitchell Smith, Sam Mitchell, Mitchell Lewis, Jordan Lewis, Lewis Jordan, Isaac Smith, Smith Isaac.
Macreery can do what Impey does. He's vitally important to their transition between the arcs and he's a bigger loss than people realise. Gives them a spark. Likewise Hill. It stood out they were pretty slow Thursday night and we made the most of it. Spread the ground than ran through them.

Thats generous, we were also outcoached. Mitchell had them controlling the pace of the game, put it to bed in the second half in a pretty mature way.

So yeah our lack of pace hurt, but you were pretty good when you slowed it down too,

You definitely got the mix of screen and tackles right, last time we met it was the other way round, form and injury hurt you, and our tactical response matched better.

The top sides are pretty close these days, you have to get so many aspects just right, Hawks are tuning it up at exactly the right time.

Collingwood the only team to ever suffer an injury within the game and have a couple of probably best 22 out tonight. Apparently.
We don't have many injuries but we have 2 pretty big outs in Day and Weddle. If we can manage to win a few games the next few weeks without them it will be a great effort. Weddle might be back for a EF but at best I'm thinking a SF if we make it that far.
