So the Dogs have WC and Fremantle.

Giants have GC and Saints.

I feel like the WB are good enough to win both of those, obviously the WC one. Giants lose to GC then it’s a genuine opening for the Dogs.

I think if the Giants win against the suns then Hawthorn need to lose both or Fremantle needs to lose to Brisbane. I am not 100% sure of the configurations but feel like GC winning next week puts the Scray in good stead.
The Bulldogs are certain to make it if they win both on account of the other matchups to come.

A poor win by the Dogs and an outstanding effort by the Dees to make a game of it. An entertaining game nonetheless.

Whilst the Dogs supporters should rightly celebrate the win, the Dogs had no business taking the entire day to put away a very ordinary club.

There’s probably a gulf between the top 6-7 teams and Bulldogs.

Yeah every one knows that good sides like Brisbane and Adelaide put lower ranked sides away early.

So last weeks game meant...?

GWS have no business being in finals i guess

Fair to say the dogs aren't going to fire a shot if they make the finals. Just came from the game. They were trash. We were 1 goal trashier.
You’ll find both teams kicked the equal number of goals.

We won by 6 behinds, should’ve been more but it is what it is.

Well anyway I don’t see the Dogs going far this year.

Do you?
Bet you said that in 2016 too.

The top 9 are fairly even this year none of them have blown the dogs away. Biggest margin of 22. Most around 2 goals or less.

Either way I'd rather get some finals experience into our kids then not.

You’ll need to improve your MCG form if you want to win a prelim or GF.

Since round 1 2022 you’ve only beaten Richmond and a very bad 2025 Melbourne side. If finals were played at Marvel I’d have a different opinion on your chances.

Our worst loss this year has been by 22 points. I don't think we'll be the easybeats you think we will be. I know you guys haven't had a great year but you played ok tonight and we were a little off the boil after a 10 day break.

I'd back us a 4/10 chance against most of the top 8 with Hawthorn the team that will really trouble us with thwir pressure game.

I don't think there's such a thing as a "poor" win, I feel better with a win than a loss anyday and you only get 4 points whether it's a ordinary or superb win.

Our best is very good, but no side can be fantastic every week.

The key is when you're ordinary, you find a way to win and that's what happened today. We were in trouble at 3QT, but we pushed ourselves over the line.

That performance won't win us a final if we do make the 8, but finals are still a few weeks away.

The result was all that mattered today.

Love Gawny . He makes Melbourne worth watching. Viney is tough as nails too.

wonder if Gawny wants a couple of seasons of Sun in the Sunshine state ?
Gawny, last 4 times ive been to the "Sunshine" State in peak weather season, it's p*****d rain. Don't believe the marketing material. Stay put.

No coincidence we kept you to your lowest score all year and biggest defeat. Think that game has got lost in translation. We were outstanding because not many others have stopped you guys scoring.
