I think we will get a Victorian premiership team this year. Interstates seem to happen one every six years.
Most likely Geelong but I hope Hawthorn

Injuries piling up for them
Again.......I was wrong
Wonder if Fly will be discussing his upcoming date with Silvagni this week![]()
I’ll pick on Dan.exactly the same as May.
Gunston ends up with 4Hawks would be better without Gunston
Did MMM cross to Peter Daicos post game? Need to know if he still telling the world that Hawthorn have been ‘found out’.
Team goes about 32 deep of truly capable players.Injuries piling up for them
When you look at Brisbanes line up compared to the Pies you really see how heavily they rely on their top 5. McStay, Lipinski, Hoskin-Elliot, Frampton, Membrey, Schultz and Mitchell would really struggle to get a game at Brisbane or even some of the other top 8 sides.
Tigers lost to saints by 67 pts in Rd 16 of 2017 and went on to win flag. However we were a young talented team on the verge of a dynasty while Collingwood are an old washed up team about to fall off a cliff. The last 2 good examples of a premier getting properly belted this close to September would have to be West Coast 1994 and West Coast 2006
West Coast 1994 lost to Carlton by 64 points in Round 22 and seemingly lost the minor premiership... only for Carlton to shit the bed against Essendon and the Eagles smoke Footscray in Round 24, then win all 3 finals while Carlton went out in straight sets
Then the 2006 Eagles lost the Round 21 Derby to a rampaging Freo by 57 points but got let off the hook by the Crows losing the Showdown to Port that afternoon... the next week the Eagles thumped Richmond to win the minor premiership, and ultimately overcame the Swans by the narrowest of margins
Im pretty sure it won't be a case to answer but a lot of those elements are irrelevant as the duty of care overrides it all. The counter argument is: Newcombe shouldve foreseen that you can't make an effective tackle at that speed so it turns into a bump. He didn't slow down enough. 3 weeks. That's how disgusting the May decision was. It set a stupid precedent.I’ll pick on Dan.
It isn’t.
Tackle v a brace.
Newcombe opened himself up, slowed down (slower than he was) changed direction and tackled.
Head clash purely accidental, alternative options not available.
Very very clearly fine and no case to answer.
Hope Howe is okay.
