But he shouldn't be the one who takes kick outs or tries the risky inside kick. Needs to understand his limitations
Agreed. Same as Crippa needs to know he doesn't have a left foot...All players are limited in some way. He needs to get it and give it. (but not to the oppo like the advantage he took tonight.) Ollie is not the problem.

There’s people on this board who have mercilessly ridiculed and abused Frankie Evans who I hope are ashamed tonight.

It’s not as much about Frankie (who we should all be stoked for) but a reminder that ANYONE on a Carlton list is an AFL standard footballer who is capable of great things and at the bare minimum deserves not to be on the receiving end of abuse just for being picked.

Nothing wrong with being frustrated with selection and preferring other options. What was said about Frankie was beyond that and his play the last few games has more than justified his place, I’d be perfectly happy with him as part of the list in 26
So agree 👍

Fair. Just in this uber depressing season, some of us have to find wins in amongst it all, no matter how teeny tiny. It was green shoots and a feel good turnaround with Frankie for me tonight.

We know our weaknesses and the usual stuff we struggle with.
Yeah screaming into the void does get a bit old.

Frank's game was ace. Not miraculous, just high quality football. Great kicking at goal, composed in traffic, and he's plenty hard when it's his time to go.

I like Cowan finding a.bit of the ball to balance his defensive instincts.

I like Lord's application to task. His disposal needs a tidy up but I think it will come.

Loved Harry's work rate.

Lile any time the ball is in Moir's hands.

And Huddo's goal of course. Give him the last couple of games and give him license to fly at it.

He's as big as Hewett though? Why on earth would he get smashed?
lol - hewett much stronger than lord

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy lord is getting time in the middle and thriving as he is part of the future, but happy for him to get initial afl experince outside of his preferred position initially

Out Hewett fog acres and young.

In Jagga Elijah Walsh hof

Also.... Newman Charlie

And piss off TDK. Only became interested after Frankie lifted. Pea heart

Maybe some Graeme Wright influenced changes are enough to take the edge off the injuries and we'd be top 8 comfortably with those names back and am effort like the first and fourth quarters.

Tonight showed exactly why it was a mistake not to sack Voss.
It looked like Voss let them off the leash in the last quarter to me.

3/4 time rev up...."well this isn't working, so f**k it, play your own game boys".

It was groundhog day.

If you can't see that...
If you can’t see it’s the players you ain’t watching closely enough.
Too many waiting for others to step up … too many butchers … too many not tough enough mentally and physically.
i’ve said many times i dont rate Voss but to suggest tonight is an example as to why he shouldn’t be coach is being totally oblivious to what happened on field.

This I agree with. Simply turns the ball over too often and isn’t a good defender 1:1.
Has talent and gives everything …he’ll surely find a long career in a different role.
Ollie reminds me of Kade Simpson. A slow start to his 300+ game career.
Simmo was probably a better kick to begin with, but Ollie can improve

We didn't shit the bed. When you are committing to every contest, a ball has to get through now and then.
Yes, but taking about what we could control, the 3 not-rushed behinds and 2 out of the fulls tells me 5 more goals could have been scored.

Cooper Lord is an inside mid and a run with player. If Walsh plays next week, play him on the wing. If Cerra comes back, he can swap out with Crippa (who should play forward more and more). Do not put Lord on a wing. Do not play him as sub.

Also, credit where credit is due, Austin nailed the Cooper Lord pick. And I think he got the Flynn Young pick right as well (just needs a preseason). Also, he seems to have nailed the Frank the Tank pick. So, well done Austin?
But but but….hes shit isn’t he ?

You can always tell an agenda when a guy who had it 29 times with 2 goal assists as a half back, a bunch more score involvements a bunch of intercepts and 630m gained is a target because of like 3 wonky kicks out of 29 disposals... Especially when there's axtual pea hearts out there not being mentioned.

Ollie doesn't just try hard. He's a very good player.

If I was CFC I'd offer TDK $300k as a reply to the insult he has been to CFC since the news of the Aints offer broke. they don't need him. Some will hate this, but Pitto is a better ruck. (not ruck/rover) TDK got monstered by Witts tonight, and every time they play. Leap only gets you so far. Ruck is about guile and strength.
