Cameron re-signed with the Pies. As much as their fans dont want him, I wonder if it makes them more likely to take CDT alongside a mid, and less likely to trade their pick 2 (that they don't have yet) to Gold Coast.

Cant se WC trading with anyone, they have to take the best 2 players they can get, and trading with the Bombers is super high risk as they could end up missing all the players they want with us sitting perfectly positioned in between.

I assume that in this scenario, West Coast think Duursma is a flight risk and they can still get Sharp with Essendon's 1st pick that they trade for (WCE trade 2, 14, 34 for Essendon's 5, 7, 20) since Sharp isnt really the type we need right now. (Same applies for CDT, especially now that Cameron signed on with Collingwood)

In that case, draft order is this (ignoring bids for now since they don't really matter)

West Coast - CDT/Sharp
Essendon - Duursma
Richmond - ??
Richmond - ??
West Coast - CDT/Sharp
Hawthorn - ??
Carlton - ??
West Coast - ??


If this is what West Coast and Essendon want, surely we act first and slide our 2nd pick to Carlton for their TDK pick and a future 1st / 2 x future 2nds.

This allows them to get ahead of the Dean bid and we tell them to publicly say they'll take CDT/Sharp if he's available. That way, West Coast get spooked about CDT/Sharp not being available at Essendon's first pick, and they therefore don't trade picks with Essendon, while also not picking flight risk Duursma.

In my scenario, order would go:

West Coast - CDT
West Coast - Sharp
RIchmond - Duursma
Carlton - ?? But probably the GC / Brisbane academy kids to push Dean points value down when he's eventually bid on
Essendon - ??
Hawthorn - ??
Richmond - ??
Essendon - ??

End result is we get Duursma plus another good kid in the top 10 (Grlj, Cumming, Marsh, Pou, etc)

a F1 that won't exist because Walker will go top 2. they have limited trading partners this year as Dean is a top 8 player in the draft, and will command a bid early. Leaves us, WCE, maybe Essendon to trade with.

And its not 6+F1 for Just 2 or 3/4
