2 and 3. If we beat them, we will go on top of Essendon, so it's best if they win, as they will be 2 points behind them, so not settled yet. Than the combos will come in, So anything can happen. I'm looking forward to missing out on Daffy and Leys next season, as they will no doubt get rid of the father-son after this year.
Essendon needs to lose to Saints Carlton and Suns by 60 points each for us to pass them on % and I can't see the Saints or Blues winning by that much.

Or Saints and Carlton by 40 points and Suns by 100 points.

I can see that.

Best we take a knee Vs North.

The scoreboard is only 1 measure of winning and losing.
Teaching our younger players how to win even when there is 'nothing' to play for is more important than whether we pick at 2 & 3 or 2 & 4 or any other possible combination.

Teach them in every other game. Sometimes you have to lose the battle to win the war.
Losing the battle to win the war is how North have ended up bottom 2 for 6 consecutive seasons.

Umm have you completely forgotten about Toby Pink?!
Umps will pay Lynch everything this week. AFL can't afford to have another big tribunal cockup like the last one with him.
They've flip flopped around between outcomes and actions. One pull of the jumper and the whistle will blow.

I feel bad for Toby Pink

The afl don’t see what they did to lynch as a tribunal cockup. Tom needs to do what he did to caminiti last weekend, lead up and draw free kicks with eyes on the ball.

Why not just list Kano, Smils etc as season rather than 2-4 /3-6 weeks?

Tom Sims: Elbow, Season

“Sadly, for Simsy, that will end his season,” Serpell said.

“Essentially, he sustained a ulnar collateral ligament, similar to the MCL in your knee that Jonty (Faull) sustained, but it is in his elbow.

“Thankfully, he doesn’t have to have surgery, so he will be fine and ready to go for day one of pre-season.”

Liam Fawcett: Ankle, Test
Oliver Hayes-Brown: Hamstring, Test

“There are a couple of guys that we are happy to bring forward this week,” Serpell said.

“Liam Fawcett and Ollie Hayes-Brown, we are going to put them on tests this week, and hopefully we can get some gametime into them this week.”

Mykelti Lefau: Calf, 1-2 weeks

“Mykelti is going really well now, and we suspect to see him ready to play in about one to two weeks,” Serpell said
Campbell Gray: Knee, 1-2 weeks
Samson Ryan: Foot, 1-2 weeks

“Campbell Gray and Samson Ryan have progressed a fair bit this week,” Serpell said.

“Happy to say that we can bring their return to play forward a little bit...one to two weeks.

“Hopefully we can get a little bit more game time in for both by the end of the year.”

Kane McAuliffe: Quad, 2-4 weeks

“He is going well, just standard really, so we are expecting him out ready and available to play in two to four weeks,” Serpell said.

Josh Smillie: Quad, 3-6 weeks

“As we reported last week, Josh Smillie came off the track a little bit sore a couple of weeks ago,” Serpell said.

“Subsequent scans last week revealed a minor quad strain.

“It’s not too serious, and we are hoping to see him out running around doing a little bit of training this afternoon, and we aren’t ruling him just yet that he can get a little bit of gametime in VFL at the backend of the year.”

Yes. Well, except for the one time they actually should’ve tanked the game in the last round against Gold Coast but won instead for ‘culture building’ lol.
Result: they lost Harley Reid, one of the clear cut number 1 picks over the last decade.

Seems like that team just can’t get it right no matter what option they pick 🤣

Hobart gonna be warmer than Melbourne today. Glorious blue skies. Change coming for the weekend though.
Forecast of 10°. I think a hip flask will be in order.

At the backend of the year? Isn't that now?
