It can turn around reasonably quickly when people stay even if 7 years felt like a life time for us.Yeah I mean if I was playing at St Kilda and there was no reasonable prospect of short term success, I'd jump ship

Seems certain that TDK will be a trade. Blues will get about 9 as compo, surely they’re not definitely rolling the dice to get more? If they’re after a share of the NWM bounty, it’s looking like a bunch of crappy firsts and future firsts. Might be easier to accept 9, be a bit miffed and move on.

It's amazing how St Kilda always finds a new way to be unsuccessful. One of the foundation clubs of the league, won one flag by one point 59 years ago, Ross Lyon walked out on them and the club came crawling back to him when past his prime. The club has gotten almost nothing right for 150 years and never seems to have any luck either.Oh boy imagine if this happened

Looked like a guy who hadn't played AFL in 2 years. But he'll get better, he'll get a month of AFL prior to the Finals and they can reevaluate how he's performing from there you'd think. How did Doedee go on the weekend?
They got smashed by injuries didn’t they?Looked like a guy who hadn't played AFL in 2 years. But he'll get better, he'll get a month of AFL prior to the Finals and they can reevaluate how he's performing from there you'd think.
Tough games too, Freo (away) and then Hawthorn. They got smashed by injuries didn’t they?
Lose last 2 and they could miss, wow, one week ago they were premiership favourites
They are in real danger of losing both and missing out.Tough games too, Freo (away) and then Hawthorn.
Got Neale out ATM and I think Doods is in for Ryan Lester who got a concussion. Noah Answerth is done for the year, they've had a few injuries crop up across their backline.

Top 4 absolutely, but if results dont fall their way they could miss altogether (I think)Finals or top 4?

Exactly this. I was looking at the ladder before the match and thought gee we are hanging by a thread lucky we have a game in hand otherwise there could be trouble.Playing around with the ladder predictor. The West Coast game was the perfect result for us. Should give us a kick up the arse and show the lads we need to be switched on every game. However - we got the 4 points. If we lost it would have been absolutely catastrophic
The constant flights to and from Perth seem to take a toll, especially with respect to recovery. I saw some statistic showing that the Dockers and Eagles have had hardly any 300-game players.Tend to be surprised when WA greats retire, their game tally always seems low compared to how long they’ve seemed to be around. Look at McGovern, has looked like he’s playing his last season for 3 years and is medically retired, checked games played when heard, didn’t make 200. Would have put money on it being between 250 and 300.
The Weagles only have 1 - Shannon Hurn (333 games). Freo have 2 - David Mundy (376) and Matthew Pavlich (353).The constant flights to and from Perth seem to take a toll, especially with respect to recovery. Collingwood only have 3 or 4 too.The Weagles only have 1 - Shannon Hurn (333 games). Freo have 2 - David Mundy (376) and Matthew Pavlich (353).
In contrast, Hart, Roo, Macca & Edwards all got there from our class of 97/98.
Tex is currently on 297, and is expected to play his 300th in the first week of the finals. He will be our first player to reach the 300 game milestone in ~20 years.
Interestingly, Melbourne still only have 2x 300+ game players (Nathan Jones & David Neitz), despite having been in the V/AFL since the league was created.
Debunks the air flight theory thenCollingwood only have 3 or 4 too.

Payne is a huge loss to their structure.Tough games too, Freo (away) and then Hawthorn.
