Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

So are we getting rid of the Campo boys as Carlton royalty? Not drafting Harry Dean or Cody because they are Carlton royalty!! When has Jack sooked it up?? Also we’ve dying for a key back to partner Weiters we finally find one, he’s been one of the few positives this season and we are already short down back especially now with HOF going down.

Sounds like you’ve sooked it up based on rumours and spitted out complete bullshit.

Yes we must have drama - wot a princess! Same for the other bloke . Both of them overpaid underperforming turncoats - can't wait to see the backside of them number #1 mission is to rid the Club of whiny entitled losers.
If the whole team gave the effort Jack brings, we would have won multiple premierships in the last 4 years. He has his limitations, but the bloke deserves our respect for what he has given the club.

That's my mail as well. it's a 50/50. Worried though it's this late and fact that we have had contract in front of him for 2 months
I'd heard and posted similar about a week ago, I wonder if the Lloyd decision has had anything to do with it and he doesn't mind the other proposed ideas GW has.

The vibe I received was there was an element of "here we go again with a coach sacking" but the decision to retain and make changes elsewhere was seen as a progressive move. Don't know if it's enough to change the ultimate decision but it seems to have been enough to cause some reconsiderations.

Will they? A very talented, but injury prone 29 yo Chuck ain’t netting us a Gulden

Campbell averages 13 possessions and Florent wasn’t in the best side for a large part of this season. Charlie will get us a lot in a trade, as the previous poster said, these players are steak knives.

I don't believe in 'royalty' tags it is part of the entitled BS and the 'chosen ones' BS that is a disaster for any unity or team spirit at a CLub. You are just mouthing old Carlton rubbish. Silvagnio can go play anywher he likes and take his smug royalty tag with him - he ahs a contac tin front of him for months now- just FOFF AFAIC.

I never thought I would be living in a timeline where the biggest FA target for multiple big clubs is Jack Silvagni. Jack was shitted on by media and opposition supporters for years, calling him a trade or delist candidate. And yet, they all want a piece of him now. 😂

He's the Keenen Reynolds of 2025.

Remember him - he played 70 odd games with the Bulldogs and wanted out in a year where there were very few available players wanting to changes clubs. All of a sudden there was a bit of frenzy about clubs trying to win him over and he morphed into Paul Roos.

Ended up at North and played 12 games.

Who reported Pies are out?

The Western Bulldogs are growing in confidence they could land Blues hybrid Jack Silvagni, despite Collingwood remaining the favourites.

While it’s believed the Magpies are still ahead in the race for Silvagni, the third-generation Blue has reportedly met with key Dogs officials, as the gap between them and the Pies to land his signature “is potentially closing”.

Silvagni, an unrestricted free agent this season, is canvassing his options despite having a four-year deal on the table from the Blues.

Still hoping Jack stays, not because he’s a Silvagni, but because he’s a decent player who I don’t want to lose to the Filth of all places.
Reckon the Filth’s downfall over the past month (starting to look a little old and slow), the public smugness of their coach which would’ve humiliated him, and a few positive moves around our club (with much more to come) might just be swaying Jack’s mind back our way.

What a pity I was hoping the Club could rid itself of the Carlton royalty BS. Will NEVER win us a game of his own boot EVER a decent role player is his high point and a sooky lala is his constant.

Wow 👎

This is what we don't want:

* Name calling and abuse towards players, re their skills, position in the team, what kind of vegetable they remind you of, parentage etc. If you dislike a player in terms of the way they play, it is easy enough to articulate that in a more constructive way.

The problem at the moment with the media is they are all trying to get the story. Any story be the 1st to break it. It's so competitive there's that many footy shows on. They are just frothing at the mouth to get a story and I think this Jack Silvagni has been blown out of proportion as with a whole lot of other stuff that's going around at the moment they're all ambulance chasing

Who reported Pies are out?
Riley Beveridge at Fox Sports.
But it's all a misunderstanding.. Fox Sports have their 'monthly birthdays' afternoon tea on the 13th of every month for their staff..

Riley overheard someone yelled 'The pies are out' which was the photo copier room boy taking the party pies out of the oven..

And Riley's run with it..

Ok Aph

let me rephrase

I don't care which player leaves for more money or whatever reason - I only care about the players who are Carlton players and want to be at Carlton. Also I don't care to read negatives about the state of the CLub because player ABC or D wishes to explore their options - because when a player wants to leave they no longer are part of getting better - they are part of Carlton NOT getting better

I read somewhere that Jack has the right to meet with rival clubs and explore his future options. Would the club or its supporters feel more let down if he was doing this at the start or middle of the season, compared to now at the tail end?

Does anyone know if he's even been back to the club?

He was around a week ago when Doc retired

Hinkley was hugely rated before he came across from Geelong. He had immediate impact at Port and won far more than he lost. imo he never had the cattle for a flag but he slightly overachieved with the list he had most years. Port fans have brainwashed the general footy fan into thinking Hinkley is the worst coach of all time.

I agree it's a bit eye-rolly that we reunite him and Voss, but I guess he would know Voss' strengths & weaknesses more than anyone else and could hit the ground running vs. someone getting to know Voss, and potentially entrusting him with areas he shouldn't.

Biggest concern for mine is, I heard directly from a former Port player that Ken was/is brutal in making players play through injury. He better leave that in Adelaide.
That theme has continued throughout Voss’s time here, look at team selection players rushed straight back in, off long or repetitive periods, while players who are clearly below par are pushed to to the point to struggling with form & further impact on the body…
