Tend to agree. Can't see any upgrade on Gardner. Serong, on the other hand is more mobile and an excellent mark. At 193cm and 84kg, however, he may be a bit small for a key back role.
May is only 193 but is a powerful unit. At 84 kegs might be a bit light to be No 1 KPD

No worries. If true, all will be revealed very soon I guess.

If Pies somehow don’t get him I do hope it’s the Dogs… stuff the Dons and Blues!
Personally I would hate seeing a Silvagni in another jumper the relationship between club and player must be bad for him to even consider leaving

Let Collingwood get silvagni for 700k or whatever it is. We'll just go get Caminiti from the saints.

Funnily enough, last year some bloke on the draft board said he was family friends with Caminiti and the Dogs were interested in him. Would have been around when the Saints were looking at JUH.

I tend to agree. It needs to be a pick around 30-35 which will be pushed back into the late 40’s anyway.

There’s no real benefit to letting him go unless the club wants to do him a favour and help him get to where he wants to go.
I’m not convinced a pick around 30-35 gets pushed into the late 40s. Early picks get pushed back, but with the new points system a lot of picks in the 30s will be getting used to match those early bids, and some picks in the 40s might even come forward.

Lets be totally honest. He will pick the pies. Been a dogs supporter long enough to realise when its a big 4 against us they chose the bigger club and use us to get the bigger club to increase the coin.

Sometimes I'd be annoyed by this...like when Barrass chose Hawthorn last year instead of us. But I don't think I'll lose much sleep over Jack Silvagni.

Disclaimer: If Silvagni actually does choose the Dogs, he is an amazing player. Just what we need.

It was already shared to our board. The information from a Pies staff member was told directly to me, the same person who shared Bobby Hill isn’t playing this weekend, which is confirmed now.

What I’m saying is, it’s either Pies or Dogs. No using one club to squeeze more money out of the other. He has genuinely been considering the Dogs. This wasn’t to ruffle feathers, if my info was about Silvagni choosing the Dogs I would come here to share it also.
Thanks for the info mate ……. Hopefully we will see you in September

With Seamus Mitchell looking like landing at Collingwood and Connor Budarick at Essendon, it leaves the small defender market just as bare as the KPD one (Tom Morris' update). Hugh Bond is the only one out of contract I'd be looking at. Otherwise it's the draft.

Appreciate it. Thank lots of things change over the last bit of the trade - many Dogs supportes would prefer Wilkie though ( including me)

Hello fellow animal-based football team.

Thoughts on your draft hand? Pretty simple this year. In a hypothetical for those draft-minded supporters clued into this year's crop, would y'all trade 12 for 24 + 25 from North, swapping F2's and gaining an F3?

No.. the club drafts well in the first round

I think I probably would unless there’s a specific target we’re after given we’d essentially be getting:
  • Pick 24
  • Pick 25
  • F2 swap (probably 10+ pick upgrade)
  • F3 (early 3R when Norf stay shit)

Might even try to shift picks 24 and 25 into next year as well if there are any takers.
