Geeze mate, now you have shamed me...if I don't get up at 2:30 a.m., then GreyCrow and feenix67 will make fun of me, call me soft and ask that I be muted for a month.

😞

If we win I won't notice how tired I'll be. If we lose, geez it'll be a tough weekend. Nobody in my house shares my belief this is important so I'll get no mercy tomorrow. ;)

We've broken some big hoodoos this year which gives me some confidence we can break another.

Collingwood have been ordinary since their Hawks win in May, but they relish these away games when they're under the pump. We just have to be switched on ourselves and not play into their hands by playing slow, possession footy.

What makes me less confidence is the six day break coming off of Perth and running out of steam like the Geelong game. Gotta blow this one out early.

There’s a comment from the oppo board. “Cheese eating surrender monkeys” that comment is not just aimed at the Collingwood faithless but directed at our boards lack of confidence in tonight’s result.
I never understood the “cheese” reference but “ surrender monkeys” is totally appropriate.

I like cheese and will be imbibing while savouring a solid victory.
I always thought it was a reference to the French and their will to fight - particularly highlighting their capitulation in WW2

A season which has produced a great turnaround (Brisbane 15th to 2nd 2018-2019). We've pulled of some pretty amazing and unexpected wins this season. For example against Brisbane, broke the home hoodoo vs Hawthorn. Demolished a red hot Gold Coast. Smashed Port in the home showdown although that was to be expected.

But we know that Collingwood come to town inspired, ready to put a horrid recent run behind them and the trip to Adelaide Oval is usually a blessing. Can Adelaide (now somewhat weakened) do it again?, pull off another unexpected win. They have to play 4 quarters of desperation. Win and we lock up the top 2 spot and the pressure is really off. Lose, well we have North and need to be just as desperate next week.

Cannot beat Collingwood tonight, there is always next time when it matters most. I always believe that. It's been a tough past 8 years and who knows what the next 8 years holds in store. Will we become a powerhouse like Geelong, consistently making finals and contending for premierships. It all depends.

When you have a chance, you need to take it.

Nobody in my house does either.

I am going to give it an attempt and will get the opportunity to catch up on sleep Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Heading to Phoenix to catch the Cleveland-Diamondbacks series, without the wife and kids. 😜

This 🤜:boom:🤛
We've not had a chance like this since 2017. Walker, Smith and Laird know this and should be geeing-up their mates at every opportunity (well, maybe not the introverted Laird, but you know what I mean).

We've won 7 in a row; 10 of the last 11. That's behind us but should create confidence, belief and momentum.

Ahead of us is this undeniable fact: win the next 5 we get the 2025 Flag.
5 games.
So, win tonight and keep on winning, Masters-of-our-own-Destiny style.

That would be the way to do it.

GWS dismantling Gold Coast means there's no reason to consider a loss as a good result tonight. If GC can make up the percentage on Collingwood (and they get to play PA and Ess), they could displace them to 5th and we can still play GC as 1v4.

Win!

Correct. If we win tonight, the likely scenarios in Week 1 are either playing Gold Coast, or Collingwood (who we would've just beaten two weeks earlier). Although if we need to play Brisbane in Week 1 I'd rather play them then, at home, than later away.

France had a good army but lack of communication and some outdated doctrines stuffed them. That said hope we don't get Blitzed tonight.
I guess the problem was the Germans pretty much rolled straight through France to Paris

Anyway, go Crow's
