Just antagonising for no reason. Didn’t see you chirping so much last year?
Can I get any sort of source to these Bergman “rumours”? He’s pretty well been in for surgery since he re-signed!
Antagonising for no reason?
This is a board to discuss potential trades. You were happy to talk about Nas leaving, but no so happy when its a Port player.

There are rumours that Bergman is regretting his decision to re-sign. You might be hearing more about that as we get closer to trade time. If you havent heard them, then blame your mail man. Its out there in football circles, and usually where there is smoke there is fire.

As for Butters, the reason that people have talked about him leaving for a few years, is that its a week known fact that clubs in Victoria see him as gettable.
Again, its been spoken about is SA football circles for awhile now that he is looking at going back to Vic. He is still in contract whoch gives Port the upper hand in any potential move this year, but the facts are the facts.

Mentioning that either or both of these could come up as potential trade parts if Nas chooses Port is well within the bounds of this thread.

I’m not saying it’s not in the bounds of the thread champ.
However, when you’re coming up with rumours, you’d typically want a better source than “in football circles”. At least your last rumour about Rozee had some more substance than that!

Of course they COULD be used as part of a trade. We know Bergman was considering Vic clubs leading up to his re-signing. But you don’t re-sign and leave a few weeks after, unless you’re forced out the door.

And if he does leave this year or next?

It's possible, I think it's more likely he could leave next year.

Although it's not a foregone conclusion that he will leave at all

And clearly none of the predictions you've had about him have come true yet

Just like the Connor Rozee rumours circling in groups due to some one or some people making up false allegations and lies to spread? So you know groups that are stating Bergman is having regrets and wants to leave as well as Butters wanting to leave yet no one at Port has heard any of this? Is this another Crows thing? Are these people all in the same Crows chat group like Nas apparently was too?

Talk about jumping the shark.
What does Rozee have to do with trade speculation?
You are happy to participate in the speculation about Nas leaving St Kilda and moving to Port even though he hasn't said anything about it, yet when people discuss Power players all of a sudden you have some moral high ground you are standing on.
Take a seat.

So discussing the real potential of him leaving this year or next isn't a big deal is it? I mean, you just did it yourself.

How do Saints fans feel about potentially loosing this star? loosing Marshall then overpaying for another ruck that plays 10 good games a year?
Id be f-ing pissed

The way to view TDK to St Kilda is that St Kilda is buying a player with only $$$ and not having use a pick/s or to trade for him.

It is not TDK or Marshall, but rather:
  • TDK plus Marshall
  • Or if Marshall is traded, TDK plus Marshall trade value (Which as he contracted will be quite reasonable, or he stays)

Now also bare in mind that St Kilda is rebuilding. So is say aiming to be contending from say 2027 on. Will Marshall still be very good from 2028 on? TDK whereas will be in his prime years then.
The 19 year old Dodson, based on watching Sandy Games and at Training is the best young ruck that has drafted since Peter Everitt, or Ben McEvoy. Boyd a back up ruck for this season will most likely. be delisted. Max Heath might be kept on as depth, but does not really look good enough to become a genuine AFL ruck.

To a Club like Geelong in their window now, a player like Marshall would be an asset that they would value (and reportedly approached last year as Marshall asked to be traded).

Whereas losing Nas is a major negative.
He is a young player whom is only going to get better. Possibly even the best plaver in the competition in time, but if not will be a genuine star over the next decade. No Club can afford to lose someone who could be a Bont like talent.
And he is that burst and damaging mid that St Kilda has long lacked, which makes it additionally painful if he leaves..

The AFL don’t want players who seek a trade being forced into the draft which is why it hasn’t happened since Nick Stevens in 2003.

That is why the club a player is leaving negotiates as forcefully as possible for the best deal they can get, and then accept it even if an offer is unders.

Geelong understand this and recently have been masters of paying cents on the dollar in trades.

Luke Ball is more recent than 2003.

Luke ball was in the 2009 national draft.
That's 16 years ago....

There is zero % chance Nasiah goes into a draft.

It was 6 years after the last time QPower claimed it occurred.

You don't see a concern in Power fans posting misinformation to try and manipulate a narrative?

Seems like a trivial piece of misinformation.

Anyone trying to pretend the PSD is on the table is being dishonest.

It's simply not an option for a superstar player. No way the AFL would allow it to eventuate.

That is all true.

Also true that Luke Ball was a peripheral figure at that point - he’d been dropped twice throughout the season for poor form.

He was a fringe player.

El señor‘s meaningless trivia doesn’t help his case.

Luke Ball when he left to Collingwood was a better player than Nick Stevens was when he left Port.

Just admit that you made a mistake, and move on, rather than continuing to dig yourself a hole.

Your form on BigFooty today is as bad as Port’s. Actually—- imagine responding to this while your team was still playing.
