We had 13 from 49 @ 26%
They had 8 from 56 @ 14%

We defended exceptionally well such that their inside 50s were often ineffective.

You win finals and grand finals by keeping the opposition to a losing score. Pies kicked 46. Demons kicked 56.

No team wins games in decent conditions with those totals.

Good win but not great. Goal kicking, apart from the sensai, was a frag abominable. Loved punkys goal. We're up for next week if we sing. If Gunners keeps this up we'll have to see what Roughys doing next year.

How are we getting out of the eight in all seriousness? Agree not a great performance but far from horrid.

Apparently if Fremantle beat the Bulldogs and Marvel by 100 points and we then lose to Brisbane by 100 points.

It’s that……simple.

We made it! Good to be back in September. Don’t think there’d many teams keen on playing us.

It was a bit frustrating that we allowed those late goals. Combined with the multiple easy misses we let an 80 point slip. Could cost us a home final potentially.

Gunston incredible. Moore back to his best. Defence very very solid, apart from loose kicking. Forward line very efficient but we need to get in there more.

Thought Ward was very composed with the ball in hand. CMac had a strong game aside from his set shots. Dimma was our best besides Uncle Gunner. Mass and CJ both worked really hard and were a key reason we were able to stretch them across the field so often.

We need to be much better next week because we won’t get away with some of the turnovers and sloppy play we served up during periods of the game. Our midfield will need to be at its best.

Great to win and plenty to improve.

Oh we will be!
Had it done by half time, took the foot off the gas and cruised with a glance at brisbane next week.
No injuries
Was a fun 1st half to watch & go through the motions in the 2nd half, good win.
Gotta feel a bit sad for those that can't find happiness with the win.
Brisbane in brisbane are beatable & the Mighty Fighting Hawks can do it.

We're basically locked into 8th spot. Assuming we lose to Brisbane:

• If Fremantle win, we have a game on the Dogs.
• If Dogs win, we would need to lose by 200+ and Fremantle to lose by 1 for them to jump us on percentage.

If we beat Brisbane, we're a shot to make top 4 but likely finish 5th or 6th. Which is still advantageous because it means a home final.
