He has since apologised to the Williamstown players involved, and to their club as a whole.]
Rankine didn't self report, and didn't apologise until after he was caught, so if AFL are consistent he gets 5 weeks, but who knows with Chook Lotto type interpretations by AFL.

[Sam Edmund] Football bosses told the last disposal rule more likely than unlikely for next year. Ruck rules changes coming and game length to be reduced. But perhaps the biggest message was that father-son and academy changes are coming in 2026.
I swear they're doing gigantic bumps of booger sugar at AFL house, how else can we explain all these changes every bloody year?

The best possible ruck rule changes would be to completely remove ruck rules. Pankration rules including the nudity from the moment the ball is thrown up until someone touches it.
