I'm tipping GWS but honestly have no idea what will happen.

Cats play home games through the home and away season at the MCG, we do not.Hawthorn is a much larger draw than those clubs. If it’s good enough for the AFL to justify for the Cats it should be good enough for the Suns and Giants. GWS should be getting 30,000 plus to these sorts of games — whether that’s at the SCG or Accor.
A 1 off game during the Easter Show. Not multiple home games when our home ground is available. And for what it’s worth, the Giants do want to play games at their SCG but someone is standing in their way (to the detriment of the game in Sydney)
Should of finished higher. Could of gotten even more games at the MCG.The AFL not allowing a final to be played at a 40,000 seat stadium in the host teams city but allowing a final to be played at a 22,000 seat stadium when there are multiple venues with double the capacity is quite dodgy…
Only 1 in 2025 and beyond, and forced. Not willingly.Cats play home games through the home and away season at the MCG, we do not.

Doesn’t change what I said though.Only 1 in 2025 and beyond, and forced. Not willingly.
And it doesn't change the double standard Hawkk is highlighting.Doesn’t change what I said though.
You’ve also had over 100 years to build your club, generations of support that will show up at other stadiums etc in very large numbers.
We are still newish and building that.
It does though. And it doesn't change the double standard Hawkk is highlighting.

Again forcibly.It does though.
You’ve played and continue to play home games at the MCG during a h&a.
We do not at the SCG, nor is SCG the biggest stadium in Sydney.
On top of this generations of support allows you to travel down the road for a game and fill it.
Cool story broAgain forcibly.
Key difference here. You're arguing over Engie vs 2 other stadiums in Sydney.
MCG is in a completely different city to us.
Distance between both grounds is equivalent to ENGIE stadium and Wollongong.
IF you came in as a Wollongong based team would you be happy playing your finals in Sydney?
The double standard is still there.
Difference being that the MCG is where the Grand Final is always held, so at least there's a benefit to Geelong playing there.Again forcibly.

Precisely.Swans have recently blocked GWS requests to play at the SCG, this is not an AFL decision, its a Sydney-SCG contractual term providing the Swans with exclusive access.
“Our position is consistent, as it’s always been: under our venue hire agreement, we have exclusive rights to AFL games on the SCG, and we would enforce that as we always have, so it’s not going to happen.”

‘Not going to happen’: Swans chairman declares SCG off limits to Giants
The Giants and Richmond want to play an AFL game at the SCG next season, with the help of the NSW government - but the Swans are not having a bar of it.www.theage.com.au
Well actually no, using your, off, logic we should be playing at Accor. If Geelong is playing QF at the MCG, the Giants should be playing one at the SCG.
1, 1 home game at the SCG, a double header and no games at Canberra. And given the Royal Show ruins their home game schedule they should be playing a few games at the SCG at the start of the season.
Accor is not fit for purpose for the AFL anymore. FWIW, I support Geelong and the Giants playing home games at their home venues not the SCG and MCG. But if the AFL is pushing the Cats to the MCG the same rule should apply for NSW and QLD. It was actually worse last year given the Dogs didn’t play a home game at the MCG.Well actually no, using your, off, logic we should be playing at Accor.

It can be, just would need longer notice than a week.Accor is not fit for purpose for the AFL anymore.
