Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
I thought he had a bit of pace about him? Haven’t watched alot of him tho. He’s a quality player without being anything too special.
Problem is he is just as slow as Hewett and Cerra.
He's pretty much Hewett if he was a better kick and not quite as good defensively.I thought he had a bit of pace about him? Haven’t watched alot of him tho.
If he’s another Hewett/ cerra pace wise, then that’s not what where after them imo
You don’t trade guns for depthYou place way too much value on your perceived stars. It is all about nett outcomes.
Was replying to a hypothetical and suggested a slight pick upgrade would be a good addition. I would rather have three long term best 22 players with skill sets we would need with the rumoured changes.
Charlie is by description on this forum, less than perfect despite his obvious ability and ceiling. He has injury concerns and he his longevity is somewhere between 3-5 years.
The list of players put up would be likely over ten years each of shelf life.
A viable swingman capable of playing key position at either end. For mine, more defender. Definite need with SOS gone and HOF out for a year.
A quality small/medium forward. If my memory serves me MVP for the Allies who sits in a line behind some quality incumbent players at GWS and has other prospects also in the mix for any vacancy that comes up. He is a NSW boy so I would have thrown up other options, but he is quality.
Harry Oliver is an elite left foot kicking half back who is as tough as nails and ultra combative as well as athletic enough as a rebounder. Sitting behind Ash, Whitfield and co. for the foreseeable future along with highly rated Leake could be gettable. GWS have good depth and most of their players serve multi year apprenticeships in the twos.
We need to establish depth as well as upgrade in some areas.

What if you have too much salary tied up in too few stars? You don’t trade guns for depth
You trade them for space and top end picks. What if you have too much salary tied up in too few stars?
Swingman, small/medium forward and an elite left footed rebounder, all of whom are good enough to play AFL level regularly, but no real vacancies in their positions at GWS. Most won’t know Oliver, but would be the jewel in the crown. Throw in their F2 for our F3 and we would probably be close.
FWIW I think every where other than GWS Gruzewski is groomed as a defender first. Would be great for ‘26 with HOF out and Dean’s rookie year.
I struggle to see how aA deal could be done with the Suns. Pretty sure picks and players could be negotiated through Swans. Any deal with the Cats would likely come up short.
Do you remember when Wayne Carey suggested we trade pick 1 for Tom Bugg and Dom Tyson? How did that age? If it were up to me, the only way I'd trade Charlie is if they gave us enough assets to obtain two top 5 picks, or if they trade one of the big four (Gulden, Blakey, Heeney, Warner). You place way too much value on your perceived stars. It is all about nett outcomes.

Max Thompson for Bendigo continues to impress. Dudes athleticism is awesome and he plays with some serious mongrel.
Reminds me a lot of Pat Voss.
Didnt know there was another playingNice. How's Travaglia going?

With TDK walking out we don’tWhat if you have too much salary tied up in too few stars?

Was really just continuing an extreme hypothetical, but Gruzewski and Gothard would play straight away, possibly Oliver too...they are good up and coming players, not mid 20s VFL players or discardsYou don’t trade guns for depth
I have a daughter who lives in Warrnambool and I have heard the same thing.I’m originally from Warrnambool (JUH neck of the woods). Trust me, he is not worth the headache
Yeah, but you could use the TDK compo for a trade like thatWas really just continuing an extreme hypothetical, but Gruzewski and Gothard would play straight away, possibly Oliver too...they are good up and coming players, not mid 20s VFL players or discards
Ha, What part of the 'bool? I'm from there originally. Went to 'North Tech' with Schwass back in the day.I’m originally from Warrnambool (JUH neck of the woods). Trust me, he is not worth the headache
Love the kid but he is about 5 foot 8. Same local club as Brent Daniels who goes alright at about the same height.Max Thompson for Bendigo continues to impress. Dudes athleticism is awesome and he plays with some serious mongrel.

Jackson Voss has had a great season for Frankston. Any chance of a uncle-nephew rule?
Would be a good get if he could stay on the park.
With TDK walking out we don’t
His last contract renewal he had multiple clubs offering large contracts definitely more than that.TDK wouldn't have been on that much... probably freed up about 600-700k...
