As mentioned in my previous post - for reasons I have no idea - Charlie don’t like Vossy. They’ve had relationship break down. I see Caro reported this last night too.

Heard from a close associate of Charlie’s when I asked what’s going on with Charlie, he said “mate Vossy doesn’t even talk to him”.

From my perspective Charlie’s attitude has stunk this year and not sure what started it.

Will be interesting to see how this dynamic works in 2026.

I suspect 'cos Charlie has had it all his way and doesn't like having to march to another's drum.

I thought Caro said that Charlie didn't like the way his injuries were handled.

If Sydney offered Gulden as a straight swap, I'd take it. Not sure he will get back to his best, but certainly not if he is no longer invested. He might at another club much to our chagrin, but having a player of Gulden's quality come into the club will soften the blow significantly. Having said that, I simply cannot see Sydney trading out Gulden under any circumstances... and once they know were prepared to consider it, the game is up. Let's see how good Austin really is

Obviously, it wouldn't be.

In the same way that it wasn't Papley's when Sydney held him to his contract. Charlie will be fine whichever way it falls.

He knows we won't let him go without a good return, as we shouldn't.

I can't see them letting go of any of their top players. This is why we just need to stand firm.

POSITION: Balanced Midfielder/Defender

What Chesser had shown in the previous fixture and his Under 16s year, was his clean ball use and athleticism, allowing him to strive through the midfield with his classy ball movement going forward.

To complement this, Chesser is a two-way runner, winning possession in the defensive 50 and moving it on well, then generally running hard to impact up the field in the same passage of play.

At the next level, Chesser is going to offer classy use of the footy, particularly by foot, whether he’s playing on the wing, off half-back or through the middle.

Chesser remains composed going in the thick of things, threading kicks out to teammates in space with solid placement to make them as easy to mark as possible.

He ain’t it. As much as he looks great on paper, it really doesn’t match up from what the vision shows. From what I’ve seen, he’s a contest to contest mid. We already have that in Jagga, Cooper and all our mids really. He isn’t good under pressure so for all the highlights he has, there’s a down side to him. All he’ll end up as is a depth option for us, especially with his injury history. Big no.

In fact, majority of the players we have been linked to according to the meeeeeeeeedya is so underwhelming. We need to find players under 25 who have actually shown something for a decent period of time, say 2-3 years. For example, Tom Powell from North, Flanders from GC, Cooper Sharman from the Saints, McInernery from the Swans. These are the types we should be at the front of queue for offering overs to bring them to our club. I am literally praying that Chris Davies has this sort of vision when he comes over during trade period.

Maybe but from the outside it seems like it's just Saints going over the top. Reports were Blues/Dogs/Pies offers were all similar.

Yeh the higher the better ofc. I personally still think band 2 is more likely than band 1 unless the offer gets close to 850-900K but with the AFL's lack of transparency around the FA compo system who really knows.

Blight, Chesser and Schoenberg would be good cheap pick ups. Crows fans like Schoenberg, plays aggressive and impacts games. We have apparently talked to him already.

Schoenberg prob a good fit for everyone but us.

His tenure would be pretty shakey, even the clubs statement at the time didn't use words of a promise to fullfill his contract in it's entirety.
