Would absolutely grab him as a DFA, based off his performances. Mature aged swingman who had some good showings.

They have Balta and Miller as mature KPD. Gibcus and Trainor as young guns, impressive rookie Tyler Young returning off an ACL and seem to have retained another mature swingman in Gray. Lynch and his apprentices Faull, Armstrong and Sims along with Lefau also back off an ACL at the other end. Plenty invested in talls.

For mine we don’t need a high profile replacement for SOS. Weiters, Young, (Blight) Dean and O’Farrell after his ACL, with Kemp and Haynes should get us through ‘26. Cheap DFA, yes please.

That Jack pick (if Band 2 as I'd expect knowing the AFL) will essentially pay for Dean.

Let's be real here, even with his early season form down back, not in our wildest dreams would we even have imagined a pick in the 20s(ish) for Jack.

He was never going to stay, so this is an absolute win all things considered.

I'd put my life's earnings on Carlton vs St Kilda on a Friday or Thursday night within the first three rounds next season.

I cant remember who it was, nor can I find the post.
But I'm pretty sure someone posted very definitively saying Jack to the saints before Marc Shmurf 3 did on the 26th of August. Was maybe on the 25th, but I cant be sure.
Either way props to them for getting this before anyone else had even remotely brought this up.
