I thought he was originally from Beaumaris from memory of him being touted as an AFL prospect whilst a at Frankston VFL.

I feel the club has been it's own worst enemy here.
Returning from injury years ago, they had the ability to layer him in around H who was coming off a strong season as the primary target and form a more equitable partnership.
Instead, our forward structure has essentially been 'Clear out for Charlie', which in time has added the fun wrinkle of 'chasing for Charlie'.
Add in that he can do no wrong in the eyes of a significant portion of our fanbase & you've got a recipe for poor attitude/work ethic IMO.

Charlie needed to grow up and be part of finding the solution to the fwd line operation, not sooking up, throwing the toys out of his pram and asking to be traded.

The reverse approach with Ryan O'Keefe probably won Sydney a flag with his Norm Smith in a very tight grand final 4 years after his trade request was rejected.

I don't see Charlie changing though, I can't suddenly see him playing smarter, positioning better, not wrestling an opponent instead of leading etc.

For me he is what he is. Trade value will be lower next year so sell when he still has value.

I am definitely verging on hater when it comes to Reidy but as someone who watches Peel a lot

• He gets possessions through nothing but size at WAFL.
• He literally cant jump over a jam tin and wins hitouts being twice the size (width wise) of 90% of WAFL rucks
• His tapwork is atrocious, it's the WAFL equivalent of Xerri just palming it nowhere (or directly to the oppo) in the hopes he can follow it up and do nothing with it.
• He struggles to pick up the ball because he's so fumbly
• Because he's so fumbly, he cant mark for shit.

Other than all that, great bloke, best of luck to him...

Why do you think that he would be willing to come to Carlton? I realize that he used to barrack for the club as a kid, but he is a Swan now.....just wondering, as I would do that deal for sure as he is a pacey gun...........
