Noticed that Pitto was in the club gym 8am this morning, good to see. Voss was doing a decent workout as well.
Would prefer he work with a sprint coach

āThis is no failureā¦.I got back at Carlton for my own personal vendetta/satisfaction for dismissing meā - SOS
Also got my son a ripping deal to see out his career.
Have asked Ben down to our new VFL team to try out..who knows where this could lead to in resurrecting his career.

Iām trying not to look at it through navy blue tinted glasses, but from the outside it feels like youāre paying more for less.. losing experience and leadership while gambling the future of the list on picks and inflated contracts. That doesnāt sound like sustainable list management to me.it's an interesting approach.
TDK comes in at 1.8, Marshall leaves which frees up 900 (?) but also brings a good pick in the door. So they're 900 down, but have a younger player and got a pick.
Similar could happen for SOS at 800-900 (depending on source) then losing Wilkie (maybe on less?) but a pick comes back. Compensate for drop in quality by adding Aleer for support, probably doesn't cost a heap in terms of draft capital but has an inflated contract to lure him over.
There's some logic in there - not saying it's sound but I can see the approach - although the TPP is getting an absolute belting in the process.
I would take warner and then on trade to WCE for this year's pick 1 (or 2) and next year's WCE first round and try to use that to get butters. If there's a potential trade to Sydney for Charlie (involving players) I think the swans will know, at the end of the day, that they'll have to give one of their stars to get one of our stars.

Butters will come with a close to 2 million a year price tag. I donāt think the club are wanting anymore big contracts on the booksI would take warner and then on trade to WCE for this year's pick 1 (or 2) and next year's WCE first round and try to use that to get butters.
Prefer butters over gulden
So he's arranged a mentorship for Tom with Milney ?As Bob Hawke once said āyou never stop being a fatherā - and that goes for ALL your children, youād do anything for them.![]()
Yeah, but .... BUTTERSButters will come with a close to 2 million a year price tag. I donāt think the club are wanting anymore big contracts on the books
Arenāt we hopeful Jagga will be a similar version of Butters?I would take warner and then on trade to WCE for this year's pick 1 (or 2) and next year's WCE first round and try to use that to get butters.
Prefer butters over gulden

Butters is a levelArenāt we hopeful Jagga will be a similar version of Butters?
Take Gulden everyday of the week. Lefties
Not a big fan of Warner, underperformed most of this season and not someone to rely on as your major star but WCE may bide their time for FA (be smart to - they need to boost their squad with young talent and high-end picks, though Shannahan shows thereās talent from mid-picks).
Butters as a FA would be good but having to trade would hurt us next year.
1.3m pa + a lifetime free supply of Visy boxes...Butters will come with a close to 2 million a year price tag. I donāt think the club are wanting anymore big contracts on the books
HOK is going to be our long term ruckman. Heās going to be a ruck forward for the next couple of years playing second fiddle to Pitto or whoever we get in as our senior ruck. People have to remember heās only 20.Seems like an underwhelming pick up but who knows. We need someone to play ruck in the VFL and as a backup to Pitt.
I know HOK was initially a ruckman we've turned into a forward, I wonder if that's part of his development or we really don't see him as a long term no.1 ruck and we believe forward/2nd ruck is his go.
Wright on record as saying that HOK isn't tall enough to be #1 ruck in the modern game
Have you seen HOKās jump at ruck contests? Heās a better jumper than TDK. He was jumping all over Goldy. When you have KPF's over 200cm these days and with the rules trying to bring the leaping ruckman back in, he's probably right.
I think that heās talking more about his physical build rather than his height. But, heās 20 years old. He appears to still be filling out. A couple of years as a forward/ruck while he keeps filling out, heāll be more than ready to take over the #1 ruck spot.I'm assuming he's referring to this section from a recent interview.

wut? Cripps protection is being Cripps? He protects himself. TDK certainly doesn't. It's why Cripps was vocal about liking pitto as ruck. Pitto actually offers him some material helpIf Zack had Crippsā protection in the middle, he would be scary good.
CHFThat I would potentially agree with. He does seem lightly framed for a no.1 ruck, at least at this point. He still has filling out to do imo so that may change.
Happy with Reidy to smash into TDK and JSOS and be crudely reported in each of his games against them. Money and list space well spent.
A fast jog would be good.Would prefer he work with a sprint coach![]()

Second time we played Norf he got thrown into the fence and never got never ball or Xerri after that.I suspect there will be lots of players across the competition smashing into TDK from now on. His contract has just put a bullseye on him.

Just need to convince him we're a premiership contenderDo we have any interest in Merrett? He is an absolute weapon by foot & workrate.
