We have to try something different. Day didn't work tonight.
Depending on how he plays in the VFL, but perhaps bring in Darragh Joyce and move Lester or Andrews to the forward line. Not sure who would second rick though. Anyone else from the ressies. Connor McKenna?
Bruce in, probably for Lachie who probably did a calf.

What's to be done with Charlie and Day? Hmmm.
Can’t really change a whole lot this late in the season. The scary thing is we have Charlie locked away for another 3 years. Given the cliff he’s fallen off the past 2 years, can’t see there being any chance of him still being in the team then. Certainly not in his current role anyway.

He was great in the Geelong and GWS finals last year. A long way from where he is now

Ooh forgot Conor. Could be a good addition as a selfless forward. Not sure how to fit him in though

Respect must be payed to the Cats.
Could only find myself voting for 4 lions.
Fully fit it would have been tough tonight.
I honestly wouldnt be upset if we went out in straight sets.
We have been up for a few years now a longer pre season would no doubt help many of our boys.
This has season been enjoyable but I AM afraid I can't see us winning it all.

Looked a bit like the Demons of 2022 when we got them in the semi. They were banged up heading into that game and you could see tonight Lachie, Berry, Hugh all weren’t 100%. Coupled that with the rest of the injured guys and we were sitting ducks in the end.

Gardiner was a bright spot. They choked up the corridor, went to work on our play makers and we had no plan B that we could execute.

Fort did some nice things, but his positioning was definitely poor at stoppages. I have been against it, it tonight showed why we are after Draper. Ridley too for other reasons (Allen is obvious).

We’ve done very well to keep moving forward with key injuries and limited continuity in personnel from week to week. It will be a mighty effort to challenge next week and beyond if we are good enough.

Spare a thought for that umpire who paid the Rayner frees and who will spend the remainder of his days in an Eddie McGuire and Jeff Kennett run VFL prison under Marvel Stadium.

You will be remembered.

I'm all for trying things but Andrews to the forward line would leave the biggest defensive hole in AFL history.
