I'm wondering if he had a foot injury last season that was affecting his accuracy in front of goal, his finishing is back to its best

I think it was an early practice match, he was one of our best in an understated way.I’m a bit of a broken record on Ginni. I just feel he’s become so underrated because people are fixed in their opinions of him as that smart arse opportunist who stages for frees and is unprofessional off field.
But he has become one of the best half forwards in the comp. He works so hard and is so smart. Averaging about 20 and 2 since he returned which is All Australian level.
He is reminding me more and more of Steve Johnson.

Oh my god is he slow! Barely gets off the ground when he jumps. Weak physically, probably couldn't wrestle his way out of wet paper bag, or break an opposition tackle without ducking.
Despite his obvious physical limitations - he's an elite player. Understands the game on a whole different level - one of the few players I've seen co-ordinate his team-mates offensively as well as defensively - genuinely Hodge like - he's a play-caller, even when he doesn't touch the ball directly, his movements are created with intent.
His kicking is good, has excellent goal sense, but it's his ability to control play that I love - the last two minutes of a close game; from locking the ball in like Mitchell/Sewell - burrowing under the packs when it's at it's hottest just to force the ballup; or keeping the ball in constant motion when needed to attack.
Getting the KPF to setup such that defender spoils drop at their feet, or goal side - It must be instinctual to him (as I can't see him ever being a KPF even at junior level) - or maybe just that innate knowledge from the perspective of a crumber.
Of all the players on our list, he's one I see most likely to be a successful coach in 2035.
On light duties at training today...
Doubt it very much, it’s one thing to have an innate flair for the game; it’s an entirely different proposition to be able to articulate it in a way that produces success on the field for the people you are leading.Of all the players on our list, he's one I see most likely to be a successful coach in 2035

From the Pocket: Jack Ginnivan will swagger into Adelaide ready to lap up any hostility
Crows supporters should be aware that any hooting or hollering this Saturday may play right into Hawthorn’s handswww.theguardian.com
Media late to the party but nice to see he’s starting to get credit for this form line and the fact that anyone else with similar stats (only Bont Richards Bailey Henry) was All Australian this yearI’m a bit of a broken record on Ginni. Hard working half forwards who can get 20+ disposals and 1.5 goals a game are absolute gold in this league.Media late to the party but nice to see he’s starting to get credit for this form line and the fact that anyone else with similar stats (only Bont Richards Bailey Henry) was All Australian this year

Forget the 'cellies', unbelievable formline puts Ginni in elite company
Beyond all the celebrations and on-field flair, Jack Ginnivan has put together a superb seasonwww.afl.com.au

I was expecting (hoping for) a 2 goal per game, 10 possesion type small forward that would tackle a lotHard working half forwards who can get 20+ disposals and 1.5 goals a game are absolute gold in this league.
I admit I had no idea at all that this is what he would become when he came from the Pies but it's a testament to Jacks hard work and professionalism that he has improved as a player exponentially in such a short period of time.
And he's an old fashioned heel as well which I love![]()
That was similar to my expectations as well but I'm very happy with what he has become.I was expecting (hoping for) a 2 goal per game, 10 possesion type small forward that would tackle a lot
A bit of a concern that he had hamstring awareness after last week's game. Cleared to play but that's not ideal. I don't want him being subbed out early for Punky. If that were to happen our chances of winning will diminish greatly.
If he was a risk, then there would be two travelling emergencies would there not?A bit of a concern that he had hamstring awareness after last week's game. Cleared to play but that's not ideal.
