Damn, amazing list.

Graeme Wright is so not Carlton and that is excellent. Imagine if we did this for our other coaches who we have seen fail.

Obviously we have to get them but we are aiming high.

Adrian Hickmott - Played in successful Geelong and Carlton sides. West Coast premiership assistant Coach. Part of the amazing Hawthorn team we have seen rise up.

Nigel Lappin - Played in the super good Brisbane side with our current coach of course. Been a massive part of Geelong who have been the best side of the modern era of AFL.

Josh Fraser - Played in a strong era for Collingwood. Coached here for a little. Expierenced VFL coach. Has been a part of Collingwood who have been the best team in the game since the anticongestion rules came in.

Dale Morris - Bremiership Bulldog, coach at The Lions, last year's premiers and previous year's runners up, equal top side post anti-congestion era.

Scott Burns - Played in a strong Collingwood side, has been at some good clubs but not during their strong periods. Was a part of Adelaide this year and they had a strong season despite their finals finish.

It's a great list, would not expect to get all of them, there are names there other clubs will be looking to pry out as well. I am sure we have other names on our list. I still think we aught to be having a go at Ratten in some sort of role, particularly development, he's a great mind and elite assistant coach and being ex-Carlton may be enough to bry him out of Hawthorn where he has been super successful.

Just looking at Hawthorn, they have a damn good coaching group, would be happy to break that up a bit for them. Love how they have built and developed that side and how they play. Streatgically strong and very intouch with modern football.

The rumours are interesting - even if I'm still confused as to why the club gossips as much as the contestants on a reality dating show.

Wright seems to be enacting a vision that prioritises standards over ability, which makes sense for a club that might've indexed too great on the latter.

I'm still curious as to how Voss has survived this though. If standards have slipped or the vision been misplaced, then we've given a coach going into his 9th year a lot of rope. If it's unfair to use his first stint, fine, but increasingly we're finding that we can tell what coaches have it, pretty early on. And he didn't inherit a list in its infancy either.

Better assistant coaches will help cover his deficiencies, but if next year is a retool season, then we're leveraged pretty high on a coach to help mark that new transition, who might not be right guy.

Agree with this, I can only think scarcity of options was a factor. A CEO can always replace the coach in year 2, 3.... it doesn't need to be upfront, particularly after our past 30 years (I work in banking and had something of a career at ANZ - the new guy made sure to get rid of 2 seniors, and there is clearly 1 that he must get rid of, but that is according to a timetable I think)

A year in which almost all of the top left or went backwards tells me we need a psyche refit and the Coach is the key person here. Was lucky enough to go to the Spirit of Carlton 1995 lunch where they talked about Parkin and the Psychologist aka handing over the reins aka who is in control. Just feels like a massive void here.

Yikes, games against StKilda will be interesting if Milburn and SOS are on the ground at the same time for some reason…

Carlton supporters would be looking at each other saying…ahh who tf do we boo at?
I was at that game at Princes Park, Milburn came off the ground right in front of the Auld Gardiner Stand, I've attended Leeds games in the EPL and that moment was as loud, and angry as I've ever experienced! By the way I was also at Windy Hill in '75 for the epic second quarter

Yeah that was a dog act by Milburn. Probably rates in the top 5 against Carlton players just behind:

1. Clarkson breaking Aitkin’s jaw.
2. Magro’s hit on Jesaulenko at PP.
3. Matthews elbow to the back of Kenny Hunters head.

Have I missed any?
